We had the good fortune of connecting with Le Jonet and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Le, is there something you believe many others might not?
I don’t believe the path to success relies in numbers. Nowadays more and more artists are just seeking popularity instead of seeking what nurtures their soul. Everyone is successful in their own way, and you can’t compare your success to others. That is why I enjoy creating art for the sake of itself and my being. Telling a story in each song and creating it as best I can. We all enjoy seeing big numbers with something that has been created by oneself, but I don’t believe the motivation should be that alone.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I come from an audio engineering background so a lot of my professional work is done in a music studio. I’ve produced, recorded, mixed, and even mastered records. That has been my main line of work for the past years whilst working on my own music in the meantime. I also get hired as a pianist for sessions in certain projects (that’s how I started in the first place). With the release of my first album imminent, and the second one mid way in its creation process; I’m hoping my art reaches a point where I can dedicate a lot more time to it. I will always create music that I enjoy fully, and I hope people also do.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

I would take them out to eat at several different parts of Mexico City (Polanco, Coyoacán, Roma Sur, Hipódromo Condesa, La del Valle, Nápoles). After all, Mexico City has one of the best cuisines in the world, and an abundance of high quality restaurants. It doesn’t matter where in you are in the city, you will always be able to find an amazing place to eat. Some of my favorite spots are: Nagaoka, Los 3 Chinelos, Fiesole, Rojo Bistrot, Maralunga, El Danubio, Los Danzantes.

There are also plenty of museums to visit throughout the city as well as historic landmarks. I wouldn’t miss the opportunity to visit and see the pyramids that are on the outskirts of the city.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I dedicate my shoutout to various people that have helped me in this journey. Mauro Castro, for giving me the push to pursue creating my first album, and recording the very first single of my career. Emily Booher for helping me create some of the poppiest songs so far, and making me realise that I have what it takes to create great music. Felipe Castañeda for being very objective when it comes to giving me insight on how to become better lyrically and melodically within my songs, as well as helping me produce my vocals like no other ever did before. To Nicole Gerard for always helping me in every aspect of my career, as well as always being the protagonist in all my music videos and life. To everyone that has helped me in any way so far. Thank You dearly from the deepest part of me. I won’t forget it.
