We had the good fortune of connecting with Leah Guadagnoli and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Leah, what do you want your legacy to be?

I want to be remembered as someone who wove creativity and community into their life beautifully and meaningfully. As an ambitious woman who loved cooking and her garden and had a deep passion for feeding others.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
For the past decade, I have been exhibiting abstract sculptural paintings. When I moved to upstate NY, my garden continued to impact my practice and forms significantly. I eventually allowed my passion for cooking to take center stage and started Fancy Feast Supper Club, a creative dinner. I bring people together through homegrown, globally inspired vegetarian meals prepared from her garden with passion, love, and a genuine curiosity for our expansive overlapping flavors and techniques across cultures. Through extensive research and an ethically conscious appreciation of our world through food, my goal is to celebrate our commonalities and unique differences to form connections and better understand the world we share.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Every visit to Los Angeles has been an anchor in my culinary practice. My favorite places to eat include Gjelina, Bestia, and Salt and Straw! I love driving up to Point Dume when I am super jet lagged at 5am, beating traffic, and having the entire beach to myself. Highly recommend.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I couldn’t have made it this far with Fancy Feast Supper Club without my team of amazing friends who come out and help at each dinner. They make all the hard work feel easier and even more meaningful.
