We had the good fortune of connecting with Leah Padgett and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Leah, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I started WrkWithLeah with a goal and a mission to help women find their true confidence. Having confidence in myself has led me to where I am today, helped cultivate every positive aspect of my life, and has blessed me with so many opportunities. Feeling confident in who you are, what you can do for others, and what you can accomplish, will have a domino effect in your life in such a positive way. I want to help as many women as I can feel the healthiest, strongest, and most confident version of themselves to life the life they deserve.
I named my business “Wrk” with Leah for this reason: Nothing worth having comes without hard WORK. Reaching your goals may be a lot of work but it doesn’t need to be complicated. My goal is to take out the guess work and help you get from point A to point B with a clear path to success so you can spend your time focusing on what matters most: YOU.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I have explored a few different career paths since graduating high school in 2014. I have worked in the finance and banking industry, sales, recruiting, and real estate/finance. In any position I found myself in, It has ALWAYS been my goal to be the best. I wanted to be the best employee, the hardest worker, the top sales rep, and I have always been able to achieve that. I have always given 100% effort to my work and wanted to show up from my business in that same way.
I decided to begin buidling my business with 100% effort and put that drive and energy towards growing my vision and helping as many people as I can with my practice. It feels amazing to show up as an employee, but even more rewarding to show up for yourself.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I currently live in Arizona – The first place I would take them is to Sedona! This is one of my favorite places in Arizona. The crystal shops, red rocks, hiking trails, waterfalls, and camping spots make for the perfect outdoor getaway. Heading back to Phoenix we would visit one of the near by lakes to go paddle boarding and stop for a hike at the Superstition Mountains. The following day we would float down the salt river and make it to camelback mountain to watch the sunset over phoenix. For coffee we would head to downtown Phoenix and stop in at Lux Central and grab a cocktail and sushi after at Palma.
Next day we would get in a workout at Lifetime and spend the rest of the day by the rooftop pool.
To finish the trip we would hit all the farmers markets throughout the Phoenix area and grab some pressed juice from Nektar.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Health and fitness has always been a part of my life from a very young age. I was a very active child and have always had a passionate for the outdoors and moving my body. Growing up, my mother always made heathy meals and make sure I was active and fit. Her health has always been a priority in her life and she has continued to be a role model for me in that aspect to this day. I was taught that nothing worth having comes without hard work and you must dedicate yourself and your time completely to accomplish the goals you strive for. I am so thankful for my mother and her contribution to where I am today in my life and my business. I don’t think she is aware of the impact she has had on my mindset and success.
