Meet Lena Park | MIXIK Co-Founder

We had the good fortune of connecting with Lena Park and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lena, how do you think about risk?
I think of risk as both terrifying and necessary. While I’d describe myself as naturally risk-averse, the people around me often say I have a knack for taking bold steps when it matters. In my 20s, those risks felt more impulsive—decisions made quickly, often without all the information. But over time, I’ve realized that risk is just another word for opportunity. Every time I’ve followed my gut, it has led to a lesson or a reward, whether financial, personal, or experiential. With MIXIK, the risk was stepping into a category I wasn’t entirely familiar with—skincare—but the alignment I felt with my co-founders and our vision made it feel right.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I’m most proud of the innovative space we’re carving out with our all-mist skincare line. It’s exciting to introduce something truly new in the beauty industry—an entire regimen in mist form that’s easy, inclusive, and effective. Seeing the reception to our debut collection has been incredible. We’re not just building a brand; we’re creating a movement around simplicity and quality.
I got here by trusting my instincts and my team. MIXIK began with a clear vision, but it’s the people I’ve met and learned from along the way who helped refine that vision. We leveraged insights from industry veterans, pivoted when necessary, and stayed committed to delivering a product that fills a genuine gap in the market.
It was far from easy! We faced challenges like redefining our product category and self-funding the brand. But through persistence, adaptability, and the support of my co-founders and mentors, we navigated those hurdles. The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that every challenge is an opportunity to grow. Listening to feedback and staying true to our values has been key.
MIXIK is a celebration of inclusivity and simplicity. Our story is about bringing people together, combining cultural inspirations, and delivering quality in every mist. I want people to know that we’re committed to making skincare accessible, ethical, and truly enjoyable for everyone.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Are your friends outdoorsy and/or active? Hike Runyon
Keep your routine despite having guests: Take a pilates class and stop by Camel Coffee
Shock your guests by introducing them to Erewhon (while I find the smoothies to be too sweet, their juices are my go-to)
Stroll through Melrose Place, then pick a nearby place for dinner (you can’t go wrong with any of the surrounding options)
Take your friends to KBBQ at Jung Yook Jeom
A piping hot bowl of tofu from BCD Tofu House never disappoints
Stop at a street taco stand or taco truck, and bring cash!
Friends visiting from a landlocked state? Take PCH and spend the day in Malibu, grab dinner at Lucky’s
Watch a live sporting event, Lakers or Dodgers, depending on the season

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’m incredibly grateful to the people who have supported me throughout my journey. First and foremost, my co-founders Sunny and Christine have been my guiding stars. I also owe a lot to Kilee Hughes and the team at Six One—they believed in MIXIK from day one and helped us amplify our story. Sharon Lee, our designer, deserves credit for helping me bring our vision to life with patience and creativity. And of course, I wouldn’t be where I am without my family and my partner, G, who have been unwavering in their support.
