We had the good fortune of connecting with Leonard J. Scheiner and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Leonard, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Starting a marketing and branding agency for law firms has allowed me the freedom to help more people achieve that next step in growing their law firm than if I would have continued working for one company in a nine-to-five job.
I worked in-house at a handful of law firms during and after college. It was rewarding work that allowed me to learn about various areas of law, what clients expect and need when looking for an attorney, and this ultimately served as the foundation for launching Geek Haus.
It didn’t take me long to realize that my ultimate goal was to go into business for myself.
I started the law firm marketing agency Geek Haus to help solo attorneys and law firms attract real and qualified new clients on autopilot.
When I think about business, I think about helping others achieve the next step towards what they want. I genuinely believe when leading a company with the vision being client-focused, the culture can’t help but follow, and clients get served in a way that moves them forward.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community? Why did you pursue an artistic or creative career?
I want to walk through life feeling celebrated for being unique and individual while also making a difference with my talents. The possibility for that in most corporate settings is nonexistent, and that’s why I knew a career path that included some element of creativity was essential.
It can be challenging to make an impact and get things accomplished in a large company simply because the organization’s gears are harder to turn the larger it is.
My law firm marketing agency, Geek Haus, sits at the intersection of creativity and analytics, which works so well for my half type-a and half creative personality.
Creativity within a business framework is my sweet spot. I knew having fun at work while also getting results was possible, and I’m living proof of that.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I love the book Essentials of Fabulous, by Ellen Lubin-Sherman, and the book Never Split The Difference, by Chris Voss.
