Meet Liana Daragchyan | Content creator | Sharing recipes from my kitchen to yours

We had the good fortune of connecting with Liana Daragchyan and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Liana, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
One thing many people don’t realize in my industry is how much of your heart is poured into every step. Behind a simple video or a finished dish are hours of planning, prepping, filming, editing, and cleaning — but more than that, there’s love, intention, and purpose in every detail.
When I share food, I’m not just sharing a recipe — I’m sharing memories, culture, and the soul of my kitchen. It’s the story of where I come from, the people I’ve loved, and the traditions I carry forward.
I may not always be visible in front of the camera, but my heart is in every frame. And if even one person feels nourished, seen, or inspired by what I’ve shared, then I know I’ve done something meaningful.
It’s not just about food. It’s about connection, love, and honoring where we come from.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My work through Cooking with Liana is more than just sharing recipes — it’s about sharing heart, history, and home. What sets me apart is that everything I create comes from a place of love. Whether I’m making a traditional Armenian dish or a simple weeknight meal, I’m always thinking about how it will make someone feel. Because for me, food has always been a language of love — something I learned from watching my mother cook for her family every single day.
I’m most proud of the connection I’ve built with my audience. When someone tells me my recipe reminded them of their childhood or helped them recreate a dish they thought they had lost — that means the world to me. It reminds me that food is more than nourishment; it’s memory, comfort, and belonging.
The journey here hasn’t been easy. I didn’t have a team or a blueprint. I had to learn everything from scratch — from filming and editing to building a brand — all while being a mom, wife, daughter, and friend. There were moments I doubted myself, especially when growth was slow or life got overwhelming. But I kept going, because this work is my calling.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that authenticity is everything. You don’t have to chase trends to stand out. You just have to show up as yourself, share what you love, and do it with heart. That’s what builds real trust and real community.
What I want the world to know about me and my brand is that it’s rooted in tradition, family, and faith. Cooking with Liana is not just about food — it’s about creating warmth, connection, and a little piece of home in every dish.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend visited for a week, I’d make sure they felt the warmth of my home and the flavor of my culture. We’d start with a home-cooked dinner — something comforting like dolma, fresh bread, and labneh — and talk late into the night over Armenian coffee.
We’d spend a day at the farmers market, then grab brunch at a cozy local café. I’d take them to my favorite Middle Eastern restaurant, show them a beautiful church or museum, and go for a beach or nature walk with a picnic of za’atar wraps and fresh fruit.
One day would be all about food — a little local food crawl, some hidden gems, and lots of dessert. We’d end the week with a big family-style dinner, cooking together, laughing, and sharing stories around the table.
Because for me, the best way to show someone your world… is to feed them from your heart. ❤️

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
A special shoutout to my mom — the heart of our home.
She cooked for her family every day, not just to feed us, but to show us what love looks like. She taught me that food is more than just ingredients — it’s how you care for your people.
She showed me the meaning of cooking with heart, and everything I share today is rooted in what I learned by watching her in the kitchen.
Thank you, Mom — for every meal, every lesson, and every ounce of love you poured into our plates. ❤️
