We had the good fortune of connecting with Liga Mikaele and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Liga, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
Being a stay at home mom to a 1 year old & a 1 month old while also trying to run a business has had its difficulties, but I’m built for it. I’m constantly multitasking for example, I’ll be making my products while making a bottle at the same time ahah my brain is everywhere almost everyday, it’s challenging but so worth it. This journey with raising a family while building a business definitely makes me a stronger women and I’ve gained much more patience then I had ever had. Keeping my kids in mind keeps me balanced because this is really all for them…My partner who is also my baby’s father has been such a great help! If I didn’t have him around this business would definitely not be as successful as it is right now. I’m the more uptight, need things done a certain way & need to be done now type while he’s more of the chill, strolling through life while still making it happen type of guy ahah ying & yang is definitely the term.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Being a Momtreprenuer & just wanting to live a better & healthier lifestyle. Setting a solid foundation with values that my kids will carry with them everywhere they go. This business started because we wanted to live a more holistic lifestyle. I first heard about sea moss from my cousin Natalee Noa who is also a momtreprenuer who is an actual health coach & lives holistically. I was inspired & wanted to change not just for myself but for my kids too. Being able to teach them about how the foods we eat can heal & how over the counter or prescribed medicines can also harm us is the goal. I am very proud of my partner and I for wanting that change. Wanting to share the benefits of sea moss with the community & soon getting into other holistic remedies to share. Building habits that will change our lives & hopefully inspire others to choose a more natural lifestyle. We are not perfect, some days are harder then others, we are still learning but we try & we know the kind of life we want to live! Sea Moss is a great first step towards our life goals.

I want to thank my partner in life, Aunuua Seven Maaele for being the best there is! My parents Ruby & Iosefo Mikaele for the knowledge & love that makes me who I am today. My extended parents Maka & Aunuua Maaele for always putting our needs first for our business & in life. Both me & Sevens grandmothers for their constant prayers! Our siblings for always supporting, To anyone who ever purchased from us! Y’all keep the business going! & our sons Tupu & Baby Ua! The world is yours!
