We had the good fortune of connecting with Lily Blanchard and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lily, what role has risk played in your life or career?
As an up and coming model, taking risks has pushed me to grow and stand out. Saying “yes” to bold (sometimes scary and intimidating) choices and new opportunities has opened doors and helped me build confidence in myself and my career. Stepping out of my comfort zone shows the kind of diversity i’m capable of. Im not just a one trick pony. I can do it all if i really put my mind to it and truly believe in myself!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m just getting started in the world of content creation, and I’m so excited about where it’s going. I do TikTok Live streaming and create content that’s fun, real, and a reflection of who I am. What sets me apart is that I’m not afraid to be raw and honest. I connect with people by just being myself. It hasn’t always been easy, especially when it comes to putting yourself out there and dealing with judgment and doubting yourself, but I’ve learned it’s in my best interest to keep showing up anyway.

Consistency, confidence, and challenging myself are the three keys to success. Every little step forward has taught me something, whether it’s how to deal with negative comments, stay true to my opinions and beliefs, or celebrate the small wins. I want people to know that this is just the beginning of me. My brand is all about authenticity and having fun along the way. I’m building something real, and I’m so excited for what’s next.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend came to SLO (San Luis Obispo) for a week, I’d mix chill beach days, good food, and local gems. We’d hit downtown for coffee at Scout, shop around at all the cute shops and boutiques, and do the Thursday Farmers’ Market. Spend a day at Avila Beach tanning and getting ice cream, hike Bishop’s Peak, get dinner at Giuseppe’s, tour the Madonna Inn and get a slice of the champagne cake for dessert, and catch a sunset at Montaña de Oro. Nights out would be going to the Sunset Drive In movies with friends. It’s the perfect mix of laid-back and fun with the best views and vibes.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The biggest shoutout def goes to my mom. She was a model for 10 years and ever since I knew that, it was my dream to do the same and be just like my mommy. Her love, 110% support, and belief in me have meant everything. She’s been my biggest cheerleader since day one and helped me find the confidence to chase my dreams and thrive in my modeling career. I wouldn’t be anywhere close to where I am without her. I appreciate her so much and she is my favorite human on earth.

Also, shoutout to the one and only, Barry Goyette for discovering me and helping me build the thick skin I needed to grow in this industry. I can always count on him to give me constructive criticism and unwarranted sassy comments. I know it all comes from a place of love… haha. He’s always believed in me and sees the potential in me — i’m forever grateful.

One more big thanks to Vico Velez for the amazing opportunities and always making work feel like fun. Vico has the most creative and unique mind and never fails to “wow” me with her ideas.
