We had the good fortune of connecting with Lindsey Pelas and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lindsey, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind the success of my brand is my perspective. I trust myself. I think this industry has relied on formulas and strict game plans for brands and personalities, especially in the digital age. In my opinion, that misses the point and all the fun!

My favorite Hollywood stories are people who did it their way. Unconventional starts, mistakes and some old-fashioned ambition. I’ve leaned into the idea that my start is a little different. I just didn’t have time to wait for my big break… I still feel like I’m waiting for it.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Growing up, I was always inspired by glamorous women. In my young mind, they were the type of women people celebrated. I loved cheerleaders, playmates, WWE Divas, Daisy Duke and the pink poweranger. Haha.

I always had a love for glamour and I’ve embraced that 90’s and 2000’s feeling in my work. I love to style and produce classically glamorous shoots. Playful, creative, fun and so sexy that it’s whimsical! That’s always been me. There’s a fantasy element to it all that I love to bring to life.

It’s not easy and I think people would be shocked at the roles I play. I edit, style, produce, promote, market, negotiate, manage. In many ways I’ve played talent manager as well as the talent this whole time. I know that all I’ve learned in business and relations will one day make sense.

This also wasn’t a “job” people had when it became my job. I wanted to be a glamour model, for lingerie and magazines but the digital age turned it into something so much more elaborate. It’s almost a constant magazine feed, a constant video feed. The endlessness of the platforms and posting. It’s exhausting but amazing. It’s also wild how taboo it still seems to people. Is this not a real audience and is this not real money? Haha.

I guess I’d like the world to know that my brand is for fun. It’s for entertainment, humor and a little bit of warmth. This world is so scary and I like to think I have my head screwed on straight with the things that truly matter in my heart. So stick with me.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If someone were traveling to LA, the itinerary would totally depend on who they were. Mom isn’t getting the same trip as my best friend, Emily, from college. Do you know what I mean?

I like to give LA visitors a real-life LA visit. We’re going to postmates Dialog for breakfast, we’re going to hike Runyon, we’re going to peruse Melrose and Ventura Blvd. and stop by Sugar Taco. I’m even going to take you out to a club or a comedy show at The Comedy Store and then if we’re lucky, we’ll end up at a house party. I like to think LA is best experienced when you enjoy it like a local.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My shootout is to my followers. The ones who like, tweet, listen to my podcast and keep my life so entertaining on a daily basis. I love you beyonddddd 💋
