Meet Little Miss Marxist | Content creator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Little Miss Marxist and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Little Miss Marxist, what do you attribute your success to?
Without a doubt, authenticity! I spent so many years trying fit in and be liked. I was terrified of being seen, afraid of what others thought, and to be honest, a little unsure of myself. When I started creating content I was so worried about people I knew seeing it. I created a screen name and started being Myself on the Internet totally anonymous for well over a year. One day, a well known music artist shared one of my videos and then I wasn’t able to hide anymore because it went viral and the cat was out of the bag. Every day it continues to grow and with each passing day I am reassured that when you are yourself, the right people will find you.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
By day, I am the global Director of education for a hair product company. I’ve learned a lot of lessons along the way, because there isn’t really a manual for what I do, but what I’ve learned most is about my own capabilities and strength. When you are in charge of a team of people, you have to be able to come up with the answers and make decisions quickly. I am in my sixth year with the company currently and we are about to set up on a US tour! I definitely don’t have all the answers, but I’m confident in my decision to figure it out along the way.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I have only lived in Los Angeles for about a year and a half but definitely my favorite part of town would be Los Feliz. We have Griffith Park and incredible restaurants and more than a few places to get a good cocktail. I really like the vibe of the East side and you will not be disappointed with fun little gems around every corner!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My content, creation journey has opened me up to so many new connections. I have found a group of wonderful female creators in my genre, and they have become my lifelines. My podcast cohost @saribethrosenberg Has been such a support system for me and a huge inspiration in my life.
