We had the good fortune of connecting with Liz Naomi and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Liz, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my success has been surrender, healing my past, and going within to manifest. When people think of the word surrender, they tend to think it’s a fluffy word written on chachkies as a good luck charm. When I look at Surrender, I see it as a lifestyle, a modes to completely shift your view of life and allow in your dreams to come true. Part of surrendering is about letting go of attachment to an outcome when following your dreams, and also it’s about creating everything from within. The power of creating everything from a higher source within you can allow dreams that are beyond your mind to come forward. These can be dreams that are greater than you can think up as you learn to co-create with the universe. Most people base their dreams off of their ego’s view of life. I want the house, or the car, or the fame, it can be limiting to focus on just that. When we can see that those things are just representative and symbolic of the deeper things we want in life which tend to be happiness, fulfillment, acceptance of ourselves, love, we lose our identification with who we thought we were in the first place and this is so important. Often times people get afraid of this but this can be key in evolving as a person and manifesting ones life. Constantly losing identification with the ways we limit ourselves is an important factor to healing those deeper issues and creating space for those dreams. Whether you have a job at a gas station or on Wall Street they are all identifications with ourselves in different ways. The key is to go beyond those views of self we developed or thought we needed to be as kids and heal. Beyond that we can also heal the views we came into this world with, the more ancient ways we limited ourself through our consciousness, our souls curriculum if you will. The progression of our soul can happen through undoing what we are not and becoming what we are meant to be. This is part of what I help people do in my work. I help people see themselves as just light and love and lift off of them views of themselves they thought they were unconsciously for so long. When I turn around that portrait or complete a regular healing session people can see that they are just love and light. They can see old views lifting off of them, they can see that they are able to transform and awaken through anything. They can see the things they didn’t even know were there that were limiting them but always sensed lift off of them, and they tend to feel lighter, release, and step into their spiritual gifts in a greater way. Their spiritual gifts are essentially them, they are just more expanded into that awakened part in a sense.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I make healing portraits and do Soul Coaching. Doing healing portraits has been one of the most profound journeys of myself as a soul. This is not Art Therapy. A lot of people mistake it for that. This is where I sit with you and make a portrait as I do a multi-dimensional soul reading. This can involve anything from past lives, to connecting with people that have crossed over, to clearing limiting beliefs throughout your consciousness. It is a heart-centered and loving experience designed to bring you into your healing and knowing of your authentic self. Then I turn the portrait around and read the symbologies of the images that have come out naturally on the paper. I can see your souls messages through symbols. I do one on one sessions all over via zoom or in person at a Laguna Beach studio, I also work at events, parties and other types of venues.

Art, music and poetry have been essential to grounding in my more spiritual methods of tuning into my spiritual knowing along this journey. They helped me anchor in the gift of every challenge along the way. I never felt like I wanted to be an artist or had the drive to create what “other artists,” created. I wasn’t sure where I wanted to go in life for so long. I got detracted from a big fancy Art School which was all about my ego’s dreams into a world of Spirituality, healing my past, awakening, and following my heart. I’m sure others can relate to the experience of living in a world where a lot of us have pasts trying to prove ourselves and fitting in when a lot of us don’t. I think following ones heart is one of the most courageous things we could possibly do in this world. Following my heart brought up profound experiences of healing where I learned to spiritualize every moment as a journey of awakening into my authentic self. It brought me deeper and deeper into my hearts more ancient wishes. I always felt like I had an ancient calling from beyond this world but the only way I could get there was to walk through life and use every challenge (and there were A LOT of them) to awaken deeper into my spiritual gifts. This is what I in turn help people do now, step out of their worldly, and ancient limitations from beyond this world, and see that they are the spiritual gift.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m originally from Silverlake in California, so that area and the city will always have a special place in my heart, however, right now I live near Laguna Beach. I never expected it to be one of the most magical places on earth. It is a beach community and it has tons of amazing little comforting places to go. If I were to recommend a few, one would be to get a private Kundalini Yoga session from the fabulous Serena Brinderson at Beej studios. Another would be to go to any number of the gorgeous and scenic beaches that are all along the coast here. You can also find the most gorgeous hiking spots and nature. The night life here is super fun too, tons of little quaint spots that regulars go, and of course the Sawdust festival, a perfect adventure for summer nights, with tons of art vendors and food and music. Everything is very lively here during the summers, it’s a small beach town vibe, lots of crystal shops and my personal fave Mexican food. Honestly you could just drive a long the coast all day. People are really friendly and everyone walks around in their bathing suits, a far cry from being a city girl with an all black, grey and white wardrobe. I totally love that beach vibe where the kids all go surfing on their lunch breaks from school and the skaters are plentiful. It’s a different world here and one with lots of fun to be immersed in for a week long trip.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
All my beautiful clients and friends that have the courage to dream, love and free themselves in deeper ways. Also Drs. Ron and Mary Hulnick. They do beautiful work within the realm of Spiritual Psychology and helping people become aware of their journey of a soul. It’s these types of heart-centered teachings that have taught me to go within my soul to manifest, and find the loving in any situation no matter how it looked on the outside.
