We had the good fortune of connecting with Lola Adeleke and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lola, how do you think about risk?
Taking Risks has played a pivotal part in the growth and expansion of my brand. Every endeavour, started with me having to make a choice between taking the safe comfortable path or taking a risk.
In choosing to take risks, I carved out a very unique path for myself.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I was raised in a home, which wasn’t conducive for an artistic child. I started drawing and painting at a really young age. I am self taught and love to experiment a lot. I experiment with nature, reflections, augmented reality. Through my art, I love to merge the world of technology with the world of nature. I got to the point I am today today, by going door to door and connecting with my community. There were a lot of lessons I learnt along the way. How to not take rejection personally and how to modulate around the needs of my clients.
My art is ever evolving and dynamic, i bring into question a lot of deep existential pondering through my art

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take them to Venice beach on the weekend for a game of volleyball and People watching. Mama shelter is a great rooftop bar in Hollywood, which is a very aesthetically pleasing space.
Day trip to Catalina island. I would recommend catching the ferry from long beach.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
