Meet Lola Mormino | Personal Trainer / Gym Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Lola Mormino and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lola, putting aside the decision to work for yourself, what other decisions were critical to your success?
Besides making the decision to work for myself, I feel understanding that I need to trust and believe in myself was the most important decision I’ve ever had to make. To me, this is what can set you up for success, because you have the confidence to get there.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What sets me apart from the others is the fact I opened my gym at the age of 18 years old. I became a certified personal trainer the day I graduated high school (17). My determination and discipline helped me achieve my business start up in such a short time. To me, it wasn’t necessarily easy, but I knew it was achievable. The lessons that I have learned throughout my journey is to always put yourself first no matter what, because this will help your business sky rocket. My business is open and ready for everyone no matter what age, skill, and point in their life.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My go to for eating would be the Green Basil Thai restaurant in calabasas which is about 10 minutes away from my gym. They offer such comforting yet healthy foods which is why I am so drawn to them. I love exploring new places like the 101 escape rooms in Westlake village which is down the street from my gym. It gives my brain a break from work yet still has me actively thinking on how to escape!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate my journey to my family- my mom, dad, and sister, along with my boyfriend Conner. They have helped me push through the ups and downs of life while simultaneously owning / running my business which could feel nearly impossible to do on your own. Their support is unmatched, and something I will always be grateful for.
