We had the good fortune of connecting with Londun Allen and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Londun, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?

“Either you run the day, or the day runs you.” Jim Rohn 

This quote almost defines life to me in a sense. It’s so straight forward and leaves no room for grey areas with how you live your life. Either I decide to be disciplined and run my day, or the day gets behind me. Either I get up and and go crush my goals, or you let another day slip away with “coulda, woulda, shoulda!” This quote reminds me to go and move! It reminds me to run my marathon and don’t stop.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?

I currently own an online boutique “HyperFem” with my sister, Fatima Jones. HyperFem is a fashion & wellness lifestyle brand that was inspired by the visions of two sisters with two distinct personalities, one bold and edgy (hype), and the other girly and feminine (fem).
HyperFem was born in 2016 and believe me when I say, we went through many ups and downs along the way. Starting a business with anyone is going to be tough but, working with my sister has been a true blessing. It’s easy to bounce ideas of of each other and make business decisions. The hardest part to learn thus far is proper marketing, learning your target audience and finally solidifying packaging once we decided to introduce wellness products into our brand.
I’m also a freelance event coordinator, Fashion Production and wardrobe stylist.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We’d hit up Simply Wholesome for breakfast and smoothies to go on slauson and overhill. Followed by a trip to Venice beach, grab some food at a local spot. Head to DTLA for some alley shopping. Hit up Juice Bae LA for some cold pressed juices for our shopping. Take them to visit The Style Animal Store front before grabbing lunch. Def wanna hit up Walt Disney concert hall for some photos. Hit up Perch LA later in the evening

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Fatima Jones. My sister, my business partner and mentor! Without her HyperFem wouldn’t exist! I love you to the moon and back!
