Meet Lord Milly | Entrepreneur, Philanthropist, Creative Director

We had the good fortune of connecting with Lord Milly and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lord, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Well first I was visual Creative Director & a model for various Brands. I later developed the love of being in the fashion industry just by being a tastemaker and putting fly clothes on and creating a very unique since of style. As us New Yorkers call it “Hood High Fashion” a meaning consisting of just us young kids from the Inner slums or “Ghetto” mixing local streetwear brands & high end designer garments and make it represent us. Our struggles inside but the beauty in it outside. I Simply became a Brand owner/Garment Curator with help of my cousin & partner Taash Stylez by just waking up one day and tired of being apart of the matrix, we simply got tired of looking like everyone else & making these high end well known brands more RICH without any grattitude. Now a days they starting to pay homage to the ghetto a little more but merely for monetization purposes only.

We figured we’ll make garments better and cheaper for people from our community and around the world to look fly like us at a nice affordable price to were they can still provide for their household and everyday life.

INSANITY- : is doing the same thing over and over expecting the same results.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
There’s been many trumps and tragedies along the way to get here.

I was a creative director for Sony & A$AP MOB. I put my blood sweat and tears in VLONE when it started in the Bronx as an intern where I learned my sewing and distressing. I will forever be truly grateful for those people and relationships I built. After 1 mistake landed me in a long trip behind bars for 5 years while inside I revitalized myself and made a game plan of how to never let those things happen to me again. That was right when we made our company Apexxx. My cousin being the amazing boss he is he took it over and keep the heart pumping all alone Taash Stylez is a legend that doesn’t get the credit he deserve. 10 years later and where finally getting the recognition that’s needed and highly deserved but it came behind failures, heartbreak, betrayal, and money but we stayed steadfast and never gave up on what we wanted to do. Always have FAITH & never give up on what you truly have a passion for.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m a simple guy I love to create a lot but I also love aesthetic , scenes and energy.

Art museums, Bowling, paint workshops take them to the garment district show them the process of really looking for fabrics and quality. Eating at restaurants are always a good place to catch up, reminisce & handle buisnesss all while breaking bread. Having great energy around you is deep Frequency is real.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
(The Quran) I want give all thanks to Allah because without the guidance I would be in a dark place I would be alone.

Find a higher power because without it you will be searching for something constantly to fill that empty spot in your soul.
