We had the good fortune of connecting with Luke Wenberg and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Luke, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
My business, which is HawkMania LLC, has helped the community here by giving fans news, reports, breaking and much more that people cannot access through their own browsers or country. I have been told that the consistent news that we do every day has helped people keep up with the team. The business also helps with communication through DM and chat there without judgment. The page has connected with other writers, podcasts and reporters to bring engagement towards their articles, shows and pages to grow their work and fan base. I want to help people grow their business, pages and other stuff so they can get their own fans and engagement. I love sharing wealth.

The interaction within the 12th man community allows people to debate, connect and share their thoughts on how the team is performing, growing and discuss the old and new changes within the Seahawks. It helps them out and it helps my out because of the collaborations. Collaborations allow pages to grow and interact within each other communities

What should our readers know about your business?
HawkMania started when I was 18. I started the page in 2012. It was just like a “screw it” page. It started off slow, then it went from 1k, to 2k, 3k to 10k and then 20k. We kept growing because of the fans. First, it was connected to my favorite player, Russell Wilson. So, I named it RussellMania to support and represent him. But when he got traded to the Broncos, we had to rebrand. We came up with HawkMania in 2020 and have not looked back.

It was not easy to get to where we were because a lot of people wanted our downfall, reported or spread misinformation about my pages. We couldn’t grow for 2–3 years because of the little interaction there was. Also, social media are not going off yet. 2020 is when everything started off.

We overcame challenges by either ignoring the hate or making PSA annoucements to communicate changes with the fans. We would also do community voting to see what the people wanted. Not me.

Lessons I learned are 1. Listen to the community and 2. Always be humbled.

What do I want people to know about my brand?

We are here to help you, provide for you and work with you to create an amazing sports community wherever people support the team.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I actually don’t have any favorite sports in the city of Seattle. But If I had to say it would be Pikes Place Market.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I wanted to give a shoutout to the fans, community, other Seahawks pages, my friends, family and other admins that worked within my pages
