We had the good fortune of connecting with Mama Nikki and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mama Nikki, let’s start by talking about what inspires you?
I am inspired by my almost 3 year old toddler, she makes me keep going out into the world and show them that life didn’t end when those 2 bright lines popped up on my pregnancy test at 14.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
The world should know to not shame teen moms just because we got pregnant at such a young age. Everyone’s assumptions are “ your gonna be a bad mom” “you can’t take care of a kid” “ you have no money to provide for your kid” “you live off your parents money” etc… every person starts from somewhere and it is not always easy. Social media really impacted my life in such a good way and I am so grateful for every single one of my supporters. I am a stay at home mom with my daughter because my boyfriend anthony works very hard and I also do social media so it is easier to be at home with our daughter Mina.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Our favorite spot in the city is Soak City and Knotts Berry Farm. It’s an amusement park for family and friends and we love going there we go very often. My daughter loves going to camp snoopy and going on the rides and then Anthony and I get to also enjoy our time by also getting on rollercoasters. it’s a mix of thrilled rides and children’s rides so we all get to have equal amount of fun.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I wanted to dedicate and give a shoutout to my sister, because she has really has helped me since the start of my pregnancy and up till now and my daughter loves her so much and she has always been there for me from the moment I came home from the hospital at 15 with a 1 day old babygirl.. when I was struggling to stay awake during the newborn stage she would wake up early so that I could sleep, and she’d help me wash bottles, make bottles, change diapers, wash clothes etc and that truly helped me as a mother at such a young age and especially during the stage of my post partum depression she was there sitting by my side through it all.
