We had the good fortune of connecting with Mann Bipin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mann, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I’m not sure how it usually is for creative people, but I realized early on that playing my instrument and honing my craft was something I could do naturally, driven by my curiosity. I was intrigued by why certain things didn’t work in my mind but did in reality, and my pursuit of understanding them led me to attend concerts and meet musicians. The key advice I consistently received was about maintaining the right mindset toward your craft, balancing your passion with financial responsibilities, and managing your finances. Looking back now in retrospect I realize that this is the only thing I truly know I can manage to follow, regardless of what life brings. And more importantly it gives me an exceptional feeling that’s hard to put into words but is deeply felt.

So coming back, to directly answer the question, I chose this career because it’s enjoyable to express simple ideas creatively.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
You know lately I’ve realized that life is always beautiful in retrospect somehow! believe it or not and to me in the realm of expressing through music, my journey as a drummer has been deeply spiritual and transformative. Because of these ways of expression and to be able to explore new things has definitely triggered a lot of changes and has evolved me. So to be more precise, whenever I compose music, collaborate, or improvise with my musician friends, I’m always eager to learn their thoughts on various melodies and rhythmic ideas. My primary goal has always been to blend music from different genres and cultures.! You can find that very evident in my recent album ‘MB Projkt’ and also my EP ‘The Ideal Foray!

Getting to where I am today has been a path of perseverance and inner growth. The road is not always easy, but each challenge—whether it mastering a complex rhythm or overcoming self-doubt—taught me invaluable lessons about resilience and got myself closer to me which is always an ongoing process. Through these trials, I am learning the importance of listening deeply to both the music and my own spirit, and to remain open to evolving as both an artist and a person. In fact the journey itself of opening for Stanley Clarke was a testament to what hard work can do and to be able express what we really want to express with complete honesty. It was definitely a life changing experience!I am beyond grateful to him for giving us and our music a great platform! So to be precise the journey from watching YouTube videos, and learning from those records, and finally be able to play an open for such a legend is definitely a warm feeling And a spiritual formation that I’m on the right part.

What I want the world to know about my story is that my drumming is more than just a craft; it is a spiritual practice that connects us to something greater. My brand is about embracing the sacredness of rhythm and using it as a means to uplift and inspire. In every beat, I strive to honor the divine dance of life, inviting others to join in and experience the profound joy and unity that music can bring.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Alright, buckle up for a week of fun and mischief in the Los Angeles area! Here’s how I’d give your best friend the best time ever:

Day 1: Coffee Kickoff Start the day at Priscilla’s Coffee Place in Burbank for a caffeine boost that’ll make your eyelids perk up faster than you can say “extra shot of espresso.” After that, head to Lazy Acres Market for some quirky finds and snacks—who knew pickled jalapeño-flavored popcorn was a thing?

Day 2: Old Town Shenanigans Roam around Old Town Pasadena, where you can pretend to be a historical figure while shopping and eating. Grab lunch from taco trucks because nothing says “welcome to LA” like tacos on wheels.

Day 3: Farmer’s Market Fiasco Visit the Farmer’s Market near The Grove. Enjoy fresh produce and maybe pretend you’re a chef for a day. You might even start a dance-off with a farmer or two—stranger things have happened.

Day 4: Griffith Observatory Glow Catch a sunset at the Griffith Observatory. Enjoy the view and make a pact to come back as astronauts in a parallel universe. Maybe take some selfies with the city lights and pretend you’re in a sci-fi movie.

Day 5: Descanso Delights Wander through Descanso Gardens in Pasadena, where you can channel your inner botanical expert or just take lots of selfies surrounded by flowers. It’s like a garden party, minus the garden gnomes.

Day 6: More Taco Truck Madness Return to taco trucks because once isn’t enough. This time, try to guess the secret ingredients in their salsa—bonus points if you get it right!

Day 7: Final Fling Wrap up the week with a leisurely day at Lazy Acres Market again to pick up any last-minute goodies and gifts. Finish off with a second round at Priscilla’s Coffee Place for a final caffeine high before parting ways.

And there you have it—a week of eclectic adventures, delicious eats, and coffee that’ll keep you buzzing with joy!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
