Hi Marisella, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
The podcast facilitates valuable discussions about society, celebrities, influencers, and social media trends we encounter daily. I believe that having a platform comes with the responsibility to educate about inequality, socioeconomic disparities, and racial injustices—while still providing entertaining pop culture commentary. We can all relate to the stories we see online, and it’s crucial to pause and reflect on the societal questions that arise when consuming reality TV or celebrity news.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Evolved Culturista is a community where we dive into pop culture and social media trends that shape our world. This space allows us to discuss topics such as friendship, relationships, politics, wellness, and fashion. We explore questions that help us think critically about the celebrity news and reality TV content we consume on social media. What sets us apart is our commitment to having authentic conversations while staying curious about the questions we raise. The biggest challenge I’ve had to overcome was starting a podcast without any prior experience. I’ve always dreamed of having my own audio show where we could discuss the topics we see and hear about every day on social media and TV—focusing on the celebrities and reality stars we’re all familiar with.

The journey of Evolved Culturista began with a simple yet powerful idea: to create a space where pop culture enthusiasts could engage in meaningful conversations about the content they consume daily. As someone who has always been passionate about entertainment and its impact on society, I realized there was a need for a platform that could bridge the gap between casual celebrity gossip and critical social commentary.

Starting this podcast was not without its challenges. With no prior experience in audio production or hosting, I had to learn everything from scratch. From mastering the technical aspects of recording to developing my own unique voice as a host, each step was a learning experience. But it was my passion for the subject matter and the desire to create a community of like-minded individuals that kept me going.
