We had the good fortune of connecting with Marisol Rascon and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Marisol, Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
Kindness.

I believe that kindness pushes us to get in touch with the parts of us that are genuine and innocent. For some it takes a lot because it requires courage and vulnerability; to get in touch with our own worth, appreciate who and what’s in front of us, and the intangible goodness that drives our action. Living kindly aligns us with love and honesty. It makes us take a rest when others are still running, stand up when nobody is speaking, extend a hand when the other has fallen, bless ourselves when we feel forgotten. It’s soft yet strong. Kindness is radical.

My work is mostly to encourage others towards intimacy with kindness, every body I touch a star I wish upon, “May there be kindness”.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Healing to me is an art and it’s how I approach each session. I’ve done bodywork and energy healing for decades and what I’ve learned is that we are channels for expression and healing. I love working in collaboration with people to open up the streams of receiving. It continues to humble me. We are masterpieces, every situation and experience coloring us in, each encounter a tiny stroke on our canvas. I’m here for it! To collaborate with clients and open up channels for healing and wholeness.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I guess we’ll start with a delicious coffee at Jameson Brown and decide if the day calls for exploring trails in Pasadena or Griffith Park. I love variety so we’ll get beach time in at Paradise Cove – plus they have yummy pancakes and drinks. There’s always a fun outdoor music event to move to at the Levitt Pavillion or Grand Park, but if we’re real lucky we can enjoy a whimsy evening at the Greek or Hollywood Bowl. Shojin vegan sushi will be on the list. Cinespia at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery, because movies under the stars at a cemetery. And it wouldn’t be a complete magical time if we didn’t get our healing on at Source Point Wellness, sessions with my favorite healers is a must!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’m so grateful for all those that have embodied the divine feminine and helped me remember grace. So many teachers – Clarissa Pinkola Estes, Mirabai Starr, Aditi Devi, Esther Jenkins, my MOM and all the moms that model soft strength including our Mother Earth. The earth stewards and wisdom keepers around the world that remind me of the elegance of living simply and in reciprocity with kindness in my steps and heart.
