We had the good fortune of connecting with MARTA / ZSOFIA HAN / JAMIESON and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi MARTA / ZSOFIA, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
Social impact is at the heart of why we created The Fertility Class.
The Fertility Class is an online, on-demand platform offering fertility-focused exercise designed to support the body’s natural rhythms. Through functional, pelvic-centered movement, we help regulate menstrual cycles, support ovulation, ease PMS symptoms, and prepare the body for pregnancy by improving uterine lining health and supporting egg quality. Rather than targeting one isolated issue, our method works holistically to support the entire endocrine system and bring the body back into balance.
Our greatest impact comes from access.
Fertility support is often reactive, expensive, and limited to clinical settings. We wanted to create something proactive, a resource women could integrate into their daily lives long before stepping into a doctor’s office. By building a digital platform, we have removed geographic barriers. Whether someone lives in a major city or a rural community across the world, she can access the same education and guidance. Geography should never determine whether a woman can take ownership of her reproductive health.
Affordability was equally important. Fertility journeys can already carry significant financial strain, and we never wanted our work to add to that burden. Our mission is to make these powerful, body-based tools accessible to as many women as possible, not just those who can afford high-end wellness programs.
At its core, The Fertility Class is about more than exercise. It is about education, empowerment, and prevention through movement. When women learn to work with their bodies instead of against them, the fertility conversation shifts from confusion and stress to clarity and agency. That is the kind of impact we are here to create.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
The journey has been anything but linear. The Fertility Class was born out of a gap we kept seeing over and over again. So many women were struggling with irregular cycles, painful PMS, difficulty conceiving, or simply feeling disconnected from their bodies, yet most of the solutions available to them were either purely clinical or purely fitness based. There was very little in between. What sets us apart is that we sit at that intersection. We approach fertility through functional, pelvic focused movement that is intentionally designed to support hormonal balance and influence the endocrine system. It is structured, specific, and rooted in the belief that movement can be both preventative and restorative.

What we are most proud of is that we are not adding another appointment to a woman’s calendar. We are giving her a tool. This is not another doctor’s visit, another prescription, or another treatment she has to schedule, show up for, and pay for again and again. These are exercises she can learn, understand, and use on her own. It shifts the dynamic from outsourcing her health to actively participating in it. That sense of ownership is powerful.

It definitely was not easy getting here. Anytime you introduce an approach that challenges conventional narratives around fertility, there is skepticism. We had to build trust slowly and educate consistently. There were moments of doubt and moments where building an online platform felt overwhelming. We overcame those challenges by staying grounded in our mission and listening closely to the women we serve. Every time someone shared that her cycle became more regular, her PMS eased, or she felt more connected to her body, it reinforced that this work mattered.
One of the biggest lessons we have learned is that empowerment is more sustainable than dependency. When you give someone knowledge and a practical tool they can integrate into their daily life, you are creating long term impact. We have also learned that accessibility is intentional. Moving our work online and pricing it in a way that keeps it within reach required discipline and long term vision.

What we want the world to know about our brand is that we believe women deserve agency over their reproductive health. We are not promising quick fixes or positioning ourselves as a replacement for medical care. We are offering education and movement practices that allow women to work with their own bodies in a consistent and supportive way. At its core, our story is about trust in the body and giving women something tangible they can return to again and again.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If a best friend were visiting for a full week, we’d want it to feel energizing, outdoorsy, and very rooted in the wellness culture that makes this city so unique.
We’d start the trip on the Westside with coffee at Great White in Venice, then walk along the canals before heading to the beach. Wed plan a long bike ride along the Strand, stopping in Manhattan Beach for lunch and just enjoying that easy, coastal California rhythm.

Movement would definitely be part of the week. We’d go to Iron Method for a proper weightlifting workout. It’s such a strong, empowering environment and feels very aligned with the way we like to train. On another day we’d do a grounding yoga class at Artha Yoga, which has such a warm, community driven feel.
For recovery, we’d book a session at Pause Studio for contrast therapy or a float. LA does recovery really well, and it’s the perfect balance to all the activity. we’d also make sure we did a proper Korean spa day in Koreatown, rotating through hot and cold rooms and fully unplugging for a few hours. It’s one of my favorite ways to reset.
One of the mornings would be dedicated to the Original Farmers Market next to The Grove. We’d wander, snack our way through different stands, grab fresh produce or pastries, and just people watch. It feels nostalgic and lively at the same time.

Of course we’d do Malibu one day, hiking in the Santa Monica Mountains and having dinner at Malibu Farm right on the water at sunset. And one evening would be reserved for watching the sun go down at Griffith Observatory. That view never gets old.
For us, the best LA itinerary is active, nourishing, and a little indulgent. It’s long beach walks, heavy lifts, sauna sessions, farmers market mornings, and spontaneous taco stops. That mix of strength, sunshine, and community is what makes this city feel like home.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We love this question because truly, none of this happens in isolation.
First and foremost, we would dedicate this shoutout to the women who trusted us early on. The ones who were willing to try something different, to move their bodies in a new way, and to share their stories with us. Their openness and feedback shaped The Fertility Class into what it is today. In many ways, they co created this platform with us.

When it comes to mentors and pioneers, we stand on the shoulders of women who saw movement as medicine long before it was widely accepted. We especially want to honor Aviva Gabriella Steiner, the godmother of fertility focused exercises, whose work helped introduce the concept that specific pelvic movements could support reproductive health. Her willingness to think differently and challenge conventional narratives laid important groundwork for what we do today.

We would also recognize Adelheid Ohlig, founder of Luna Yoga. Her work emphasized cyclical awareness, femininity, and the deep connection between movement and hormonal balance. She helped create space for women to relate to their bodies in a more intuitive and empowered way, which continues to influence our philosophy.

And on a personal level, our families and close friends deserve tremendous credit. Building something mission driven requires long hours, emotional resilience, and belief before there is visible proof. They supported the vision before it was fully formed, and that kind of encouragement is invaluable.

At the end of the day, this platform exists because of community and lineage. Every woman who came before us, every teacher who expanded our understanding, and every client who trusted the process has played a role in bringing this work to life.
