We had the good fortune of connecting with Mat Chris and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Mat, what do you attribute your success to?
GOD… i can talk about this too deep because first GOD created more things into me, by His Willing allowed me to know my talent like i am an artist, stylish, musician i can rap and sing..
He breathed on my artwork all the time i can see this way way back because ever since i started to drop even a cappella song people were dying for it no matter how few were but that keeps me believing i have gifted a big talent, it is the sign of victory to me.
But the most important things are i love music the music is into me, i love to listen music, rap and i love to create music too, and too many risk i took and i will take for my music. So i don’t want to let myself down, i don’t want to let GOD’S Creation down too. what HE made into me is blessings and gift.
thats the big reasons i am grinding all days and all the ways.

I AM A ARTIST ,African Rapper, singer and stylist.
A way i’m creating my songs, how i’m rapping,contents i deliver,swaggz,lifestyle and history.
i am proud of on how i can inspire people,how i can heal the world with my songs… yeah is that what i’m proud of because GOD chose to use me to talk with HIS people is something exciting to me.
By believing i can be whatever i want to be, and also by learning different material through music listening.
No wasn’t easy, but i keep trying in repetition and listening to my internal motivation no matter what they reported, briefly is to stay hook with focus direction.
Nobody can take you where you want if you can’t reach there by yourself.
world have to know this, if they want to get mental health and intelligence they have to keep around with my songs because what i deliver is more deep and wisely, particular to my hustling and struggle and how i’m right now. thanks
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
OOH i don’t like much more going outside so i will buy all the stuff needed and make some party at home as a family and if it’s necessary to go somewhere outside for chilling, vibing and hanging, i’ma take them to Mwanza where my Father and my grandmother live is a city where i come from, about 18 hr 39 min (1,137.1 km) via B129 from Dar Es Salaam where i’m living right now, so during the journey they will have a lot of things and moment to enjoy and after reaching there they will know more story about me especially my childhood stories so it will be a big time.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Thanks GOD for this Chance i want to say shoutout to my mama C.C.Songo, shoutout to uncle January for the motivational shout out to Charlee Nexus, Deey Classic, Gunner Vissa, Big Fresh, Keev64, Fefe, Hayden Afro, and all my lovely crew members who i ain’t mention your name here champs you too many indeed but i recognise your support to develop this.
But a very special thanks to my Grandmother L.M.Ngotong’wa and my Lovely Father R.M.Masalu For allowing me to do music with the clean heart and blessings.. not ended there give it to all of my fancy people who dying with my career i appreciate type shi. LOVE YOU GUYS
