Meet Matt Wolf | Artist & Sound Curator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Matt Wolf and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Matt, what do you attribute your success to?
For me, the most important factor has been staying aligned with what feels real and meaningful. Music has always been where I feel most alive, whether I’m creating, performing, or teaching. That connection to music and the joy it brings is what fuels everything I do. It’s not just about sound, it’s about emotion, presence, and impact.
A big part of my growth has also come from showing up consistently, even when things aren’t perfect. I’ve had late nights, creative blocks, moments of overthinking, but I always come back to the work because it’s part of who I am. Over time, I’ve built habits and systems that keep me grounded and moving forward, like morning walks, reflection, and keeping my creative spaces organized.
I also think success in my world comes from intention. Whether I’m helping a student build confidence with an instrument or writing a song that hits someone in the heart, I want people to walk away feeling better, more inspired, more connected, or more seen. That emotional layer is what gives my work depth and keeps me pushing to grow both as an artist and as a person.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My art lives at the intersection of soul, intention, and storytelling. I create music that is rooted in emotion, music that moves people, helps them feel seen, and elevates them energetically. Whether it’s an alternative R&B track layered with rich harmonies or a raw song inspired by my Latin roots, everything I make comes from a desire to connect deeply.
What sets me apart is my focus on alignment. I’m not just creating to be heard. I’m creating to shift energy. I blend emotion, manifestation, and personal truth into my music and brand. I’m intentional about what I put out because I believe music isn’t just sound, it’s frequency. And when you align sound with intention, it becomes transformation.
I’m most proud of the fact that I’m building something that feels true to me, not based on trends or outside validation, but on what feels real, healing, and high vibrational. Teaching music one on one has also shaped me deeply. It keeps me grounded in the basics and reminds me that music is ultimately about connection.
Getting to this point wasn’t easy. I’ve battled procrastination, self doubt, and confusion about where to start. There were moments I felt stuck, like I had a gift but no roadmap. What helped me push through was deciding to start anyway. To take one aligned action at a time. I realized I didn’t need to know the whole path. I just needed to trust the next step.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that your energy and mindset are just as important as your talent. I’ve been studying manifestation and emotional alignment, not just for my personal life, but to fuel my art. The more I align with who I really am, the clearer and more powerful the music becomes.
What I want the world to know is that I’m here to help people feel joy, possibility, and presence through music. My brand is about raising the vibe, not in a surface way, but in a grounded, soulful way. I’m not here just to entertain. I’m here to remind people of their own magic.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend were visiting for a week, I’d want to give them an unforgettable experience rooted in soul, creativity, and high vibes. I’d design each day to balance inspiration, fun, rest, and connection. The kind of trip where you leave feeling fuller than when you arrived.
We’d kick things off with a slow morning walk through a peaceful nature spot to ground ourselves and reconnect with the present moment. After that, we’d grab brunch at a cozy café with live music, where we could eat outside and catch up without feeling rushed. That night, we’d check out an open mic or jam session and soak in the local talent. If the energy’s right, we might even hop on the mic and share something of our own.
The next day would be all about creativity and inspiration. We’d explore a local art museum or gallery, letting color and texture feed our spirits. For lunch, we’d find a spot that offers a fusion of bold flavors, something like Latin Asian or Caribbean street food. At night, we’d head to an intimate live music venue that features R&B, soul, or Latin-inspired sounds. Think velvet couches, warm lighting, and music that hits your chest.
One of the days would be dedicated to creation. I’d bring them into the studio and we’d write or record something together just for fun. There’s something sacred about collaborating in that space. After the session, we’d drive to a rooftop with a view, put on some music, and decompress with a good drink and real conversation.
I’d also make sure to show them the cultural side of the city. We’d visit a neighborhood or area rich in history and heritage, maybe check out a local market or street festival. I’d take them to a family-owned restaurant where the food tastes like it was made with love and the people treat you like you’ve been coming there for years. If there’s a dance night or a DJ spinning soulful tracks, we’d end the night there, letting the rhythm move us.
Midway through the trip, we’d take a full reset day. We might start with a sound bath or guided meditation, followed by a light, nourishing meal at a wellness café. That afternoon would be all about rest and reflection. Maybe a trip to the beach, a massage, or just chilling at the crib with incense burning and vinyls spinning in the background.
Toward the end of the week, I’d turn things up. We’d go out for a playful brunch, then maybe take a spontaneous day trip. Something like a scenic hike, visiting a waterfall, or just exploring a new part of the city. That night, we’d dress up and go out for dinner and dancing. The goal would be to get lost in the music, surrounded by people who came to feel good.
On the final day, we’d slow everything back down. I’d take them somewhere beautiful like a garden or a lookout point to reflect on the week. We’d talk about what we felt, what we learned, and what we’re taking with us. Then we’d eat one last soulful meal together and maybe build a playlist of all the songs that soundtracked the week.
By the time they leave, I’d want them to feel recharged, seen, inspired, and more connected to their own rhythm. Because when people step into my world, I want them to remember their own magic.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that no one does it alone. My journey as a music creator, teacher, and artist has been deeply shaped by the people and moments that poured into me, even when I didn’t always see the full picture.
First and foremost, I want to shout out my family and the people closest to me who believed in me even during my quiet seasons, especially when I was figuring out what kind of artist I wanted to be. Their patience gave me space to grow.
I also want to give credit to my students. Teaching ukulele and music one-on-one has taught me so much about presence, listening, and showing up with heart. The way they light up when things click reminds me why I do this.
Artistically, I owe a lot to the music that raised me, from alternative R&B to Latin classics like Puño de Tierra, which helped me connect more deeply with both my roots and my vision. That blend of soulful honesty and cultural richness continues to shape my sound.
Books like those by Robert Greene pushed me to think more strategically, not just about music but about life. And voices like Vin Jang helped me refine how I show up and communicate, which is a huge part of my brand.
Lastly, I want to shout out the version of me that kept going. The one that stayed up late working on songs, showed up to practices, and is now building a brand that’s as much about joy, alignment, and emotional resonance as it is about music. My purpose is to make people feel seen, inspired, and elevated, and that’s something I’m carrying forward with intention.
