We had the good fortune of connecting with MATTHEW SHAMOOIL and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi MATTHEW, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
Never give up. As long as you can firmly stand behind yourself, what you’re doing, and/or the product/service you have, always keep going no matter what obstacles come your way or how hard things may get.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The company we own is NUDA Tequila – a father and son owned brand. It is a Multiple Double-Gold Award winning ultra premium, triple distilled, additive free, sipping tequila. What truly sets us apart, is that of the thousands of brands out there, we are the FIRST and ONLY brand to have been allowed and approved by the CRT to label one of our tequila’s as a ‘ROYAL PREMIUM’ tequila. We are the only ones to have created a new category outside of what already exists.
This journey has definitely not been easy, it has been a roller-coaster to say the least. We are coming up on 7 years on the market now, but from idea to conception and launch, it took 10 years from 2008-2018. We know what kind of product we have, and we see how everyone that tries is, truly falls in love with it, so that fuels us to keep going no matter the difficulties we may face.
NUDA was created for people, men and women alike, to be able to enjoy a true and pure tequila, with the utmost quality.
Aside from our bottles either containing a Nude woman on it, or our Royal Premium bottle being a Nude woman, it is called NUDA because it is tequila in it’s naked form, as we do not add anything to it to keep it as pure as possible.
We believe everyone that likes to drink, deserves to be drinking NUDA and should make this there go-to.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Being born and raised in Los Angeles, specifically Beverly Hills, I would have to show them around the city of Beverly Hills as it is a staple. I love going to Malibu, so on a nice sunny day, that would be a spot to go hangout and grab some food as well. Newport Beach is by far one of my favorite locations as well, so we would definitely have to make a nice drive out there to spend a day eating, and visiting different spots. We might even have to go to an outdoor shooting range one morning, as I love to take my (Legal/Licensed) guns out to shoot Haha! It’s quite an experience, especially for those that have never been.
Going to the gym is in my everyday routine, and we love a good workout, so we definitely have the start off the day properly with a solid workout.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
In this particular story, my father is the one that deserves credit as he is the one that created our Tequila company and built it’s foundation. I was grateful and blessed to be able to join him prior to launching it, to help get it out there and work to takeover.
