We had the good fortune of connecting with Matthew Tipold and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Matthew, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
It happened organically. My business partner, David J Redman, and I just started to film events together and decided we should put a name on it. We never set out to make a company, but as we started to do more and more work together, it became clear that we should try and make this into a business.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
It has definitely not been an easy ride. I would say the biggest lesson that I have learned over the years is to stay consistent. You may not see the results the next day, or even that next year, but as you continue to learn and grow success will follow. If you can just get a little bit better each day at your craft, you’re building a strong foundation for the future. Whenever that big opportunity comes, you’ll be ready to capture it.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The number one place that I have found for food is this small restaurant in Venice called Charcoal Venice. It has maybe some of the best steak & chicken that I have ever had. Next, I would take the crew to a Dodger game. I love baseball and I think anyone can appreciate the history behind Dodger Stadium. The rest of the trip can just be driving up the coast and getting lost along the PCH Highway.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My parents! They have been nothing short of amazing throughout my entire life. They have both pushed me and fully supported my journey into the arts. Without them, I might never have gone down this path.
