We had the good fortune of connecting with Meredith Sloane and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Meredith, what do you attribute your success to?
I believe my success is a combination of a few things: natural skill, experience and dedication to myself, my clients and my craft. Being an energy worker came naturally to me. I was always very sensitive to people and their energy. The first time I channeled energy, I knew this was my calling. I jumped right in, working on family and friends, and the results were powerful. They began referring people and at some point i realized this was my path. This was something I was really good at and loved. I quit my job in the music business and dedicated myself full time to helping others move energy and create the lives they desire. I started this work 20 years ago and as Malcolm Gladwell said, it takes about 10,000 hours of guided practice to become masterful at something. I have worked with every type of energetic and physical issue. The experience of so having many hours under my belt and working with so many different types of people has allowed me to become masterful at my skill as an energy healer. People feel a true shift when they work with me. Skill and experience combined with my dedication to my work and how much I REALLY care about helping the people I work with is my magic formula to success.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m a Rainbow Energy Channeler, Transformational coach,Reiki Master, and Founder of Real Healing. Not only am I healer, but I teach transformational courses, reiki courses and lead retreats to Peru, Bali, Mount Shasta, Hawaii, India and Egypt. I became a healer about 20 years ago when this work wasn’t as mainstream. I would have to try to explain to people what energy work was and encourage them to try. Often times they were skeptical so it was a challenge. I found once they tried and could feel the energy and shift in their bodies, they could understand. My work spread pretty quickly through word of mouth. I have learned that when you love what you do and follow your heart, things tend to fall into place. I have also learned that energy ebbs and flows and you need to ride the waves. You can’t always be on the peak. I see the valley as just as important. It’s a place to rest.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m a nature girl.
I would take them on a Friday to the Topanga Farmers market and then to Topanga living cafe for lunch. After we would go on a long topanga hike. After we would have a delicious pizza dinner at Endless color.
The next day we would head down to Venice beach for beach picnic followed by a roller skate on the path and then a dance at the skate circle. We’d chill at the beach after and go to Great White for dinner.
There would definitely be a few days camping at Leo Carrillo campgrounds or Malibu Creek State park. We would forage for plants like mugwort and yarrow to make medicine with.
I also love rollerskating so a spin around moonlight roller rink is always a must!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to give a shoutout to my sister Brooke! She has a stroke at age 24 and was 75% paralyzed on the left side of her body. She was given steroids and doing physical therapy but it wasn’t working to heal her. She met a reiki healer and began working with her. She was 100% healed within a year and off of all her meds. We were both so inspired and studied with the woman who healed her for about 2 years. If it weren’t for my sister and her courageous journey, I wouldn’t be doing this work today. She showed me the power of alternative healing methods.
