Meet Mia Rocha | Foodie

We had the good fortune of connecting with Mia Rocha and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Mia, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
My name is Mia Marie Rocha, I come from a small beach town named Oxnard CA. I was the oldest of 7 siblings I always had such a crazy life from an abusing step dad to a mom fighting her own mental heath problems to my uncle who lived with us being into heavy drugs and my dad going in and out of jail my whole life. I grew up never having food in the house and if I did it was moldy or rotten but when you’re starving you’ll eat anything. I grew up stealing so I can feed me and my siblings. I was stealing my parents car at age 12 to get my siblings and I something to eat. I had to grow up very quickly, never really had a “normal” childhood. I grew up in a very religous household but looking back now was a bunch of bs. I told my whole family that I was being sexually abused by my step dad at age 20 after I ran away from home and never went back. I was so scared but knew I had to start healing my inner child. I finally found the courage to speak up and I thought my mom who was like my best friend would believe be but she didn’t. She is still with my step dad, laying in the same bed he molested me in from the ages 9-15. I then found comfort in food, I started my own tiktok channel named Ms. Munchies were I started to post eating videos. I was slowly healing my inner child from never having any food to know being paid thousands for eating meals I once manifested. I now created a 6 figure business showcasing all of my crazy foodie adventures. I call my followers primitas which translate to cousin because I once had no family I created my own with my tiktok followers. I now am happy healing my inner child, doing things I love while at the same time getting out of living in poverty.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a content creator. I take my primitas along with me on crazy foodie adventures, share my childhood stories to spread awareness. I want the world to know what no matter how hard life is there is always light at the end of the tunnel. I had all odds pointed against me but I over came it all. Now I don’t have much family other then my BF, my grandpa, my moms brother who came out of rehab and my niece. I come from a big family so now only having them really shows me how you don’t need much to feel so loved.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting I would take them to either in n out or Toppers pizza. Toppers is a local pizza joint where everyone in town goes too because its 10x better then your big food chain. pizza spots. They have so many different style of pizzas from your classic pepperoni to chicken ranch disjoin, Hawaiian bbq and many more. They also have an incredible salad bar with amazing toppings lol.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I give my self most of my credit, I had no one to help me. No one ever to lend a hand. I had to pick my self up because no one else would.
