We had the good fortune of connecting with Michael Miller and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Michael, what principle do you value most?
What value or principles matter to me the most, I would have to say being kind! I think it’s super important to be very kind, because you don’t know what someone is going through and you could brighten someone’s day by being kind. I am also a big believer in you get what you give.

Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
Ahh – having fun answering these question so far!

A little bit more about my art – believe it or not I use to dance professionally. I backed -up dance in China for one year – which was the best time of my life! I did three seasons of “Empire” tv show on Fox dancing behind Serayah McNeill (Tiana), a super fun job with Serena Williams thanks to my best fiend /sister and now I have transitioned into a role working behind the scenes now.

What sets me apart from others, what are you most proud of or excited about?
What sets me apart from others, I believe my heart, positive attitude, work ethic, and most of all being able reinvent myself. I am enormously proud of how far I’ve grown as a boy to a man, but most of all a great person.

How did you get to where you are today professionally? Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges?
I can definitely say my work ethic is how I got to where I am today, no it was not easy. I was bullied growing up, not having friends to being so magnetic people want/enjoy to be around me. I over came these challenges by putting all of my question of wanting to know WHY people was mistreating me to programming positive thoughts about myself as a pick me up – I use to spend a lot of alone time in my room staring in the mirror repeating it’s not you, it’s them!

What have you learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
I have learned to be super kind to everyone no matter the circumstances and make sure to keep your energy clean of negativity.
I want the world to know that I am working on some super cool projects that I always wanted for myself and I hope they support them. You can overcome any challenges, just block out all the noise/distractions and keep that tunnel vision.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
On the first day we would definitely hit up Malibu beach to kick back, relax, swim and just enjoy the beautiful scenery! After go pick up grocery’s at Erewhon/ Whole Foods to cook a wonderful dinner and watch a comedy film.

The next day we would go to breakfast at Sweet Butter and go on a hike in the afternoon maybe Runyon or the Hollywood Sign. Dinner at my favorite vegan place Gracias Madre!

The third day we would of course get our adrenaline rushing with some roller coasters over at Six Flags Magic Mountain.

The fourth day cook breakfast and find a concert to hit up, if not go to dinner at Catch LA, The Nice Guy or Delilah’s. Which ever restaurant I can get a RSVP at, lol.

The fifth day of course shopping at The Grove and Animal House Venice and Dinner at Cara Hotel which is a vibe!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have to shoutout my beautiful mother Precious! She taught me some of the most valuable lessons in life and one of them is to always be grateful for what you have! Some people are in a worse situation than you. Always be willing to lend a hand, because you never know when you might need one!
