We had the good fortune of connecting with Michael Rhambo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Michael, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I use to think about risks so much to the point where I wouldn’t take any. Part of taking risk comes with failure. Accepting failure is better than not trying.. but if you continue to put in the work, the results will come… Some people want it to happen, some wish it would happen, others make it happen.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Growing up my parents made it very clear that they weren’t going to raise a “follower” so I’ve always had the mindset of being a leader. I was equipped with leadership skills at a very young age. I am most excited about making my dreams become reality, I definitely haven’t gotten to where I want to be yet but I know God has a plan and patience is key. One must learn self discipline, remain dedicated, and be willing to stand up and meet whatever challenge is in front of you. Work should be fun but nothing should be defined as easy. I’ve never heard the saying “easy work pays off” You can’t overcome the challenge until you accept it & that’s exactly why hard work pays off. I’ve always been big on trying to start a movement. That’s really how the idea of a clothing brand came about. This is the most challenging task I’ve taken on so far. The fashion world is very intimidating to me especially considering the amazing ideas that people come up with when it comes to designing. With that said, I accept the challenge My brand 11:11 WORLDWIDE (eleven:ELEVEN) is for everyone. The creation comes from the day I was born 11/11. The brand represents all good things, positive energy, good vibes, the time, and the day. I’m learning new things everyday. We have to better ourselves & help ourselves before we can help anyone else. I can’t express how excited I am for this journey… Mental & physical notes are being taken daily.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well, first we would hop into a pre-pandemic time machine. The first stop would probably definitely be to Roscoe’s to eat. Drinks on any & every rooftop. We’d visit Universal Studios for sure, go to Knott’s Berry Farm just for a funnel cake and hang out at all of the beaches! In my view the most fun comes from concerts and any sports events. If I could go to a concert or game everyday… I would!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to start off by saying thank you for this opportunity! Thank you to anyone who has supported my vision now and in the future. Without God nothing is possible, we are all diamonds in the rough. Major shoutout to “Far From Home” if you need candles don’t get them from anywhere else!
