We had the good fortune of connecting with Mirelle Roman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mirelle, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
Over the years, I’ve learned to use my talents for the greater good. What once felt like simply offering a service has evolved into something much deeper. I no longer see my craft as just a treatment—I see it as a way to connect, support, and empower others.

As I’ve grown personally and professionally, my mindset has shifted toward helping in every way I can, even beyond the treatment room. I earned my teaching credential in beauty and have embraced the role of educator, not just to students, but to every guest who walks through my doors. I believe in sharing knowledge, not keeping secrets to myself.

My spa has become a safe, welcoming space where people feel comfortable opening up about personal aspects of their lives or health. When they seek advice, I do my best to provide thoughtful, educated guidance—always with kindness and without judgment. Whether it’s helping someone manage a skin condition like acne or supporting them through a tough season, I aim to uplift and empower them.

For example, acne can be incredibly damaging to a person’s confidence, especially for young adults who are still discovering their identity. I love being able to share not only treatments that help but also simple things they can do at home. It gives them a sense of control and reassurance—something everyone deserves.

While my heart is in serving my local community, I’ve recently launched an online consultation platform offering virtual facials. This has allowed me to expand my reach and help clients beyond California, even as far as Texas. My hope is to continue making an impact, one face (and heart) at a time.

What should our readers know about your business?
I’m the owner of La Vie Organique Spa, a day spa located in Glendora. What sets my business apart is the experience my guests receive. They can come in for facials, lash extensions, and waxing services all in one place—without the stress of hopping from one provider to another. But more than that, they know they’ll be heard. I genuinely listen to their concerns in English or Spanish and adapt if something isn’t quite right. That personal connection and flexibility really matters, and I think my guests feel that.

I’ve built my business on honesty and integrity. I test every product and service on myself first—not only for quality control, but also because I want to be confident that I’m offering the best to my clients. That kind of hands-on care and attention is part of the promise I make to everyone who walks through our doors.

Getting here wasn’t easy. Like many small business owners, I’ve faced my fair share of challenges. But I’ve always believed in learning through every high and low. I’ve discovered that it’s okay not to have everything figured out. I’m still learning, still growing, and I think that’s one of the most important lessons I could share. Sometimes we learn about our strengths—and our blind spots—in the most unexpected ways.

What I want the world to know about me and my brand is that it’s always evolving. I’m constantly striving to improve the guest experience, while also embracing my own growth as a person. La Vie Organique Spa isn’t just about beauty or skincare—it’s about creating a space where people feel seen, cared for, and supported, inside and out.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend came to visit for a week, I’d want to make it unforgettable! One of our first stops would have to be Disneyland—because who doesn’t love a little magic and nostalgia? It’s the perfect way to kick off the trip with fun and excitement.

When it comes to dining, one of my go-to spots is Houston’s. Their locations in Irvine and Pasadena are both beautiful and the food never misses—it’s great for a more upscale night out with delicious food and craft cocktails.

If we’re staying local, I always enjoy taking guests to Elvira’s Grill in Claremont. It’s a fantastic Mexican restaurant with flavorful dishes and a warm atmosphere. Whether we sit indoors or enjoy the outdoor patio, it’s always a good time.

For shopping and relaxing, we’d head to The Americana at Brand. It has everything—great shops, dining options, entertainment, and even a farmers market. It’s the kind of place where you can spend a whole afternoon strolling, eating, and people-watching.

That week would be filled with a perfect balance of fun, food, relaxation, and making memories together!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are a few special people who have played a huge part in my journey, and I’m so grateful for each of them.

First, I credit the decision to become an esthetician to my husband. He supported me during a time when I felt lost, unsure of what my purpose in life would be. He saw potential in me that I hadn’t yet recognized and encouraged me to pursue my hidden talents. His belief in me helped shape the path I’m on today.

Second, I owe a great deal to my mother. She not only modeled the spirit of entrepreneurship but also happened to be an esthetician herself. Watching her, I absorbed so many skills and habits—some I didn’t even realize I was learning at the time. She fostered my business mindset and gave me a foundation that I later built upon in my own unique way.

Lastly, I dedicate this to my loving grandmother in heaven. My logo is actually a tribute to her. She had a eucalyptus tree, which she taught me symbolized strength, protection, spiritual clarity, and abundance. Those values have stayed with me, and the nurturing part of who I am—the heart of how I care for others—I credit to her.
