We had the good fortune of connecting with Mo Osunbor and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mo, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
For the longest, I’ve been passionate about creativity that’s rooted in impact. Especially stories around people that look like me. Build a Seat premiered at Burning Man where Black representation was less than 2%

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m known for medium agnostic work within creative. My passion lies with projects that have impact and storytelling at its core. My most proud work to date is Build A Seat. From conceptual development to collaborating with friends in an unfamiliar field, the project has by far been the most memorable. The best way to summarize it is what a friend quoted “Jumping off a cliff and growing wings along the way.”

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m not out as often as I’d like, but you can usually catch me at AuldFella, Father’s Office, and Vees Cafe, located in Culver City. I can also be found at the restaurant at Hotel June. That, or taking what’s usually a random long walk.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Friends and Family, those who have supported the highs — and especially the lows. Also to anyone i’ve ever collaborated with, at any creative capacity. Appreciate the magic we’ve put out in the world.
