We had the good fortune of connecting with Molly Zhu and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Molly, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I enjoy everything in the art field and want to try new things. Drawing and modeling is a pleasure for me, and I had been self-taught in these sorts of skills for the previous few years. Besides, I feel that I have superior comprehension skills and can learn new functions quickly, so I ventured to change my major from Geomatics Engineering to Production Design.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m studying PD at the American Film Institute, and I’m making an effort to try to be exposed to a variety of different subjects and styles in hopes of experiencing a more diverse range of fine art in film. It’s not easy to move here from another specialty in another country, and every day brings new challenges. But there is a solution to every problem, and I will adjust my mindset and face it with optimism, and there will be a new horizon of hope.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I want to take them to visit the Hollywood Walk of Fame and TCL Chinese Theatre, explore the Hollywood Hills and hike to the Hollywood Sign, stroll along Venice Beach Boardwalk, enjoy the street performers, and maybe rent bikes for a ride along the beach, and catch the sunset at Griffith Observatory for a stunning view of the city.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My parents gave me a lot of support and encouragement. They did their best to give me the opportunity to achieve my dream.
