Meet Monse + Drew Escarcega | Owners of Rustic Charm Booth (Photo Booth Rentals)


We had the good fortune of connecting with Monse + Drew Escarcega and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Monse + Drew, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
When my current husband and I met in 2017 at our local Starbucks we were both working on our own computers. When we connected and exchanged business cards little did we know that was the beginning of our chapter.
Years later in 2019 he proposed! To pay off our wedding we decided we wanted to do something together to make money and pay off our wedding. The photo booth rental business was so clear, with his previous experience in the business and my background in public relations we were able to get up and running quickly. That is how Rustic Charm Booth was created!
On November 12, 2022, we were able to pay off our whole wedding and I was able to quit my corporate job! We went from one photo booth to twelve in a year. Now we get to also do what we love together and started another business, Photo Booth 101 to help others just like us get started.


Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Rustic Charm Booth is owned by a loving husband and wife, myself and Drew and we like to operate the business together as a family.
We started with just one photo booth to twelve in one year, so we are able to do many events each weekend. Our business is affordable and luxurious at the same time.
Since we offer a la carte pricing clients are able to add what the client needs and can save if they already have their own props or backdrop! We even have this new concept which is a pick up option where clients can pick up the photo booth from us at our store in Hacienda Heights before their event date and drop it off after their event by the following Monday! We also offer print, digital and 360 photo booth rentals.
We have done many red carpet, corporate, school and personal events (weddings, baby showers, engagements, birthdays and more) in just a 4 year span.
Having this business definitely took a lot of dedication and work to get to where we are today. Any challenges or struggles, we tackle them together and with the help of God. Nothing is easy but the struggle is what will push you to be where you are today.
We are always trying new things to make the rentals more fun for our clients and we’re excited to finally offer our kid-sized booth! Where you the photo booth is about 4ft tall and kids no longer have to jump, be carried or stand on a stool. Perfect for kid birthday parties and events where there are a lot of kids.


If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I am such a big foodie so she would definitely be eating some yummy food! There are so many things that we would do (also, depending on the season). For the summer, here are a few things that come to mind:
The beach (Laguna/Malibu), The Griffith Observatory, Hiking to the Hollywood sign, Farmers Market LA, Big Bear, Roller Skating , etc.
Neptunes Net, AYCE Korean Barbecue, MASA of Echo Park (BEST DEEP DISH), El Oasis Mariscos (FAMILY OWNED SEAFOOD), Cajun, Din Tai Fung, Hot Pot, Coffee Shops and more!

We would like to thank God! Without him nothing is possible. Also, all our clients who trust us to be part of their events, with their trust we are able to operate our business and we are able to fully focus on providing others a fun photo booth for their special events!
