We had the good fortune of connecting with Morgan Linson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Morgan, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
Mor Girls with Goals is a 501c3, created to change and shape the lives of girls and young women, ages 7-24 years old. We are a non-profit organization rooted in the belief that all girls have infinite potential and that their socio-economic status should not stifle it. We are for girls growing into strong women, achieving their goals, and breaking glass ceilings. Our objective is to create and promote great opportunities for those in need. With access to the right resources and tools, our girls can become empowered by their own abilities and gain the confidence to fulfill their potential. We aim to provide mentorship, academic counseling, career readiness, financial literacy, mental health and wellness amongst other things. With monthly activities such as workshops, training, and group discussions we aim to show our young ladies that the road to success starts with themselves. By giving girls the tools they need to overcome obstacles in their life, a support system, and a connection with a group of like-minded people, any goal or dream can be met.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Our organization aims to provide a safe and supportive environment where at-risk and underserved youth can feel valued, respected, and supported. We have found that our efforts have built resilience by helping them develop coping skills, problem-solving abilities, and a positive outlook. We strive to build productive relationships and make a positive impact on each and every girl that we have the opportunity to reach. The work we do with the girls is aimed at providing a holistic approach to solving some of our society’s biggest challenges. The goal is to continue to reduce risk factors that can lead to negative outcomes for at-risk youth, such as substance abuse, juvenile delinquency, suicide, depression, and dropping out of school. We hope to foster community engagement by partnering with other organizations, community groups, and local businesses to provide support and resources.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Mor Girls with Goals is hosting our first international trip to Kenya, East Africa July 13rd-21st, 2023!!!! We are taking 9 amazing students, who have been active members of our organization since 2019. All of the recipients are handpicked for their unwavering dedication, resilience and academic excellence. This international traveling program will provide a life changing opportunity for the girls to explore, learn, grow and discover their ancestral background at its core. Not only will each young lady get the ultimate cultural experience, but they will also have the chance to provide philanthropic initiatives to the orphanage which we will be visiting and serving. We are teaching our members the importance of charitable actions, volunteering, advocacy for the vulnerable, leadership and community empowerment. This destination trip will build confidence, knowledge, understanding, self awareness and great character. We greatly appreciate the support of donations to make this the best trip ever for the girls. No donation is too small. Sponsorship and partnership opportunities are available; for more information, please reach out to us. Thank you for your love and support.
