We had the good fortune of connecting with Moyosade Ademiluyi and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Moyosade, how did you start your business?
To be honest, when I started my first business, I didn’t think much about it before starting. I was 16 and about a year out of secondary school. I wanted to do something to keep me busy while waiting for admission into the university. If anything, I just wanted to prove to myself and other young people that age shouldn’t stop you from doing what you want.

Later into the business, I had to think about sustainability, processes, systems and other core business operations.

Along the line, I’ve picked up other interest and I’m happy about that.

Currently, what would spell fulfillment for me at the end of my career is to be at the peak of my career where I am able to impact lives and make meaningful change to people, processes and policies.

I think it’s okay to adapt to new situations as long as you’re willing to put in the effort for a change. My interest and work cuts across
Design, fashion and social impact.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’ve come to learn that nothing good comes easy. As much as I may not like to admit it, I’m proud of my resilience and the effort I put into the things I do. I’ve learned to be determined, courageous enough to face my dreams and fears.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Considering my personality type, we’d be indoors most of the time. If we decide to go out, We’d visit cool places like the beach, have great conversations, go book shopping and shopping generally, have a long road trip, travel by sea and air, watch great movies and just simply have an amazing time away from a lot of noise.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My mum because she gave me the first money I used in starting my business and her constant support. My family. My friends, community and everyone doing great for themselves I get inspired by the the success of others. I really do think about and thank the thousand silent heroes making this magic that’s me.
