Meet My Tran | Entrepreneur & Content Creator

We had the good fortune of connecting with My Tran and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi My, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risk-taking has played a huge role in my life and career. To me, risk isn’t just about stepping into the unknown, but it’s about having faith. I’ve always been a high achiever; I graduated with my bachelor’s degree from the Paul Merage School of Business at 20, and I had a clear plan to get my MBA by 22 and land a six-figure corporate job right after. But everything shifted when I met successful student entrepreneurs in the e-commerce space. It completely changed my perspective on what was possible outside of the traditional path.
I took what I now call a leap of faith. I tried launching e-commerce stores and failed. I taught myself stocks, waking up at 6:30 a.m. daily to learn. I started doing lashes for clients out of my apartment to make money instead of a regular job. I chose to invest in myself instead of going the internship route. At the time, I didn’t fully know God the way I do now, but I followed what I now realize was the Holy Spirit — even if I just thought it was my gut.
Taking those leaps built the resilience I carry today. It taught me that faith and risk go hand in hand. I genuinely believe risk is the only way to test how committed you are to the vision you say you have. For me, the vision hasn’t changed… I still strive to build something of my own, to create impact, and to become financially free. I’ve realized I could never feel truly fulfilled climbing the corporate ladder, no matter the salary. Risk is part of my DNA now, and it’s what keeps me moving toward purpose, not just a paycheck.
Even now, I’m continuing to take risks. I’m currently building The Saved Haus — a brand and platform rooted in faith, entrepreneurship, and creative empowerment. I recently launched a prayer journal, and it required a lot of upfront investment. I have no guarantee of where it will go, but I trust the vision and the impact it’s meant to have. I know the woman I’m becoming in God, and I know my purpose is to build His kingdom, no matter what field I step into.
You can’t expect extraordinary success if you’re not willing to take risks beyond what’s comfortable. Anyone starting something of their own is holding onto a seed of faith that their vision will come to life and bless others. For me, risk isn’t something I run from — it’s how I’ve always proven my commitment to my purpose.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’m a content creator, digital entrepreneur, and founder of The Saved Haus — a brand and community for women who want to grow in faith, discipline, and purpose while building lives they’re proud of. I specialize in content that’s rooted in both strategy and soul. Whether it’s helping someone build their online presence through social media management, or creating a piece of content that moves someone to get back in alignment with God, everything I do is meant to be intentional and impactful.
On my personal page, I’m known for blending faith, style, mindset, and lifestyle — I share my walk with God, what I’m learning about purpose, discipline, and becoming “her,” but in a way that’s honest, real, and unfiltered. I like to say I carry “big sister energy,” but with vision. I’m someone who’ll remind you to stay soft and graceful, but also tell you to stop procrastinating and get serious about your future. I’m here to help women step into their full potential without compromising who they are or what they believe in. I want my platform to feel like a safe space, but also one that challenges you to grow.
Fashion has also always been my form of self-expression. I love styling all kinds of looks — classy, chic, streetwear, preppy — I’m for it all. But as I grew in my walk with Christ, I started to have convictions about how I dressed. I used to dress in ways that were immodest and came from a place of wanting attention or validation.
As my relationship with God deepened, I realized I could still express myself through fashion without compromising my values. That mindset shift changed everything for me. Now I dress in a way that still feels bold, beautiful, and confident, but also honors God and reflects who I am today.
One of my biggest missions is to show that being modest doesn’t mean losing your style. You don’t have to dull yourself down or give up being fashionable. You can still look bomb, cute, and even feel sexy — in a classy and empowered way. I love sharing my style to inspire other women that modesty and fashion can absolutely go together.
What I’m most proud of is launching The Saved Haus. It actually started as a simple idea I called “The Saved Hustlas”. It was just a little Instagram channel I created and linked in my bio. I started posting faith-based reminders, mindset tips, and little notes from my own walk with God. Slowly, people started following. They resonated with it. They were craving content that talked about both hustle and holiness, not just one or the other. I realized there were so many women, like me, who were building something and trying to stay rooted in their faith while doing it. And more than anything, they were looking for community.
And honestly, I was too. I wanted a space where I could be all parts of me. A woman of God. A visionary. A content creator. A disciplined woman who’s still figuring things out in real-time. That’s when the idea for The Saved Haus came to life — a home for the Saved Hustlas. A place where faith-led women could grow spiritually, mentally, and creatively… together.
The Saved Haus is more than just content or merch. It’s a movement. A space for faith-led creators, entrepreneurs, and visionaries who want to build bold, beautiful lives rooted in Christ. The mission is to help others walk in purpose, grow their brands, and lead with faith over fear. I plan to expand it into digital products, mindset and branding courses, merch that glorifies God, and eventually a mentorship program for creators and entrepreneurs who want to build strong from the inside out.
I recently released my first physical product under the brand, a guided prayer journal titled In Jesus Name, Amen. It was created to help people build a deeper relationship with God through intentional prayer. It’s more than just a notebook. It’s a quiet space for stillness, reflection, and honest conversation with God. I designed it for the person who wants to grow closer to Him but sometimes doesn’t know where to begin. My journal offers prompts to help you slow down, process your thoughts, and approach prayer with authenticity, not perfection.
What also sets me apart is that I’ve been on both sides. I’ve been the girl who didn’t know where she was going, who felt pressure to follow the crowd, who almost settled for a life that looked “successful” on paper. I’ve also been the girl who said no to all of that — and chose faith, discipline, and alignment. I’m not just building a brand; I am my brand. Everything I share, I’ve walked through. And I think that’s why it resonates because it’s not curated or copied. It’s my real life, and I share it from a place of purpose.
I’m not doing this to go viral. I’m doing this to build something that matters. I’m doing it for me, for my future family, and for the women out there who need someone to go first.
The journey to where I am today has also been anything but smooth. If anything, it’s been filled with inner battles that most people never see. We live in a world that’s constantly pushing quick wins, curated images, and pressure to “keep up.” And I’ve definitely had moments where I spiraled into comparison, doubted my path, or felt tempted to follow trends that didn’t align with my values. It’s not easy building something only you can see—especially when people around you don’t always get it. But that’s what entrepreneurship is.
My art is storytelling—through content creation, through faith-led entrepreneurship, and through encouraging women to step boldly into the lives they were called to live. My brand, The Saved Haus, is more than a name. It’s a movement. A safe space for women, especially creatives and entrepreneurs, to tap into their God-given identity and build bold, beautiful lives from a place of confidence, healing, and intentionality. As I mentioned earlier, the vision goes far beyond digital downloads. I see sisterhood, gatherings, Bible studies, resources that blend faith and skill-building—because women deserve to feel both spiritually equipped and practically empowered.
But behind all that vision was a lot of pain and pruning. When I first started content creation, I’d ask family to help take pictures so I could grow my page, but they didn’t understand. They thought I was being self-absorbed. And that hurt, because deep down, I was doing it for them. I wanted to create something that could eventually allow me to give back, be present, and one day retire them. That misunderstanding was heavy but I kept going. I used tripods. I asked friends. I figured it out. Because I believe in this vision.
I’ve poured hours into creating content like filming, editing, writing and watched it get less than 100 likes and no comments. It’s discouraging. It makes you question everything. But I’ve learned that’s just part of the journey. It’s the same thing with business. You can launch a brand, pour your heart into it, and only get a few orders. It’s hard not to take it personally or feel like giving up. But the truth is: consistency matters more than anything.
If I had let those doubts win when I only had 5K followers, I wouldn’t have 26K now. I wouldn’t have journal preorders. I wouldn’t have sold digital products or built a brand from scratch. I wouldn’t have had the opportunity to attend brand events, expand into social media services, or create from a place of deep purpose like I do now. And most of all, I wouldn’t have this testimony.
I surrendered my life to Christ in November 2022, and that’s when everything began to change. That’s when I started healing. That’s when my purpose started to shift from chasing the next big thing to walking in divine alignment. God gave me clarity in confusion, peace when I wanted to give up, and a new identity rooted in who He says I am. Through Him, I’ve broken free from shame. I’ve started to unlearn hustle culture and perfectionism. I’ve begun to understand the power of rest, of grace, of building slowly but intentionally.
I grew up in an immigrant household where work ethic was everything. I watched my parents run their business for 30 years. My dad would always say, “Work hard now, play later.” And while that gave me discipline and drive, it also gave me guilt. Guilt for resting. Guilt for slowing down. I’m still unlearning that. But I’m getting there.
However, because of the extreme worth ethic I developed from my childhood, I was often seen as the one who would make it. The one who was always consistent, driven, and destined for success. But what people didn’t see was how that created an intense pressure. When people believe in you before you even believe in yourself, it creates a silent weight. I carried the fear of disappointing others. And honestly, I carried shame every time I felt I was falling behind, even when I was growing.
That pressure often made me feel like a failure, especially in seasons where I was still trying to figure things out. I felt stuck chasing success by the world’s definition.
This story is not about overnight success. It’s about transformation. About being saved and still hustling—with faith, with wisdom, and with divine vision. Through The Saved Haus, I want women to know: you don’t have to have it all figured out to start. You don’t have to follow the world’s path to be impactful. You just have to be willing to say yes to what God’s asking of you—and trust that He’ll do the rest.
This is just the beginning. And I’m walking by faith from here.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m a major boba, matcha, and coffee connoisseur—so best believe I’m taking my bestie to a new spot daily for all three! We’re talking BLTEA for the best boba combos and lattes, Yeems Coffee for their dreamy rose latte, Nam Coffee for that fire pandan latte, Cha Cha Matcha, and of course 3CAT Café for those with a wide palette. For dessert, Oakobing has bingsoo that hits, and California Donuts is the move for a late-night Biscoff donut or a morning jalapeño turkey croissant before heading to Universal Studios.
We’d have a chill movie night at Rooftop Cinema Club DTLA or hit a drive-in, create custom Funko Pops in Hollywood, or do an escape room just for laughs. For eats, we’re grubbing at Chris N Eddy’s for burgers and fries, some solid Korean food in Koreatown, and late-night loaded fries and Korean chicken from Starks with some tteokbokki on the side.
We’d also throw in a hike one day at Runyon for those views. It is pretty oversaturated at this point though so we will explore better ones! Then, spend Sunday after church shopping Melrose Trading Post, and if it’s in season, we’re grubbing at 626 Night Market no questions asked.
One day would be dedicated to a content day at The Getty Center, because hello? Views and vibes. Then shop around Rodeo Drive for a luxe little stroll .
Honestly, I don’t have a favorite spot yet because my “to-try” list is still way too long—but I’d 1000% recommend these gems. LA’s filled with so much culture, flavor, and fun—you just have to know where to look.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First and foremost, I want to dedicate my shoutout to Jesus Christ, my Savior. He has been my anchor in every season. He is my beacon of light when I wanted to give up, my peace in moments of anxiety, and my constant reminder that I don’t need the world’s validation. He taught me how to love myself, how to walk by faith, and how to keep going even when I didn’t know where I was headed. Everything I am becoming is because of Him.
I also want to thank my boyfriend, Rubin Stinson. He’s been one of my biggest cheerleaders. He has held it down for me, supported every vision I’ve had, and prayed for me and over me through every chapter. No matter what I was doing or where I was going, he stood by me as my backbone. That kind of love and support means everything. I also want to thank his parents, who have supported me since the very beginning of our relationship. Whether I was launching something new or trying to tap into a different industry, they were always the first to show up and support my business ventures. They’ve provided a level of encouragement and belief that every son or daughter needs from their family. Receiving that kind of love and support from them was healing in a way I didn’t even know I needed. Their support has truly meant so much to me.
To my best friend, Meccaelah, thank you for being there through every season of my adult life. You’ve walked beside me through every risk, every transition, and every growth moment. You know me at my core and have shown me a sisterhood I’ll always cherish.
To my parents, your sacrifice and struggle gave me a life filled with choice, opportunity, and freedom. Watching you build a successful business from the ground up for over 30 years taught me what hard work, discipline, and resilience truly look like. You gave me a life of blessings and a high standard for what I want to create for my own future family. Your legacy inspires mine.
Haylyn Nguyen is one of my oldest friends, and she’s always been like a sister in my heart. Haylyn is a true generational curse breaker. Being around her is like a breath of fresh air. We share similar upbringings, and our bond is rooted in healing, growth, and the desire to rewrite our family legacies and overcome some of the toxic cultural norms we were raised in. Whenever I’m with her, I feel re-centered and recharged. Her consistency in my life and the woman she is has been a quiet strength behind many of my boldest moves.
Alongside them, there are others who have quietly but meaningfully impacted my journey as a content creator and influencer. People who, without even realizing it, poured into my confidence and helped shape the creator I’ve become. Hana Catlett is someone I look up to like a sister and mentor — a woman of God who constantly reminds me of my identity in Christ and encourages me to walk in divine confidence and purpose. Kevin Castro used to help me shoot content during work breaks without hesitation. Justine Foung believed in me back in collrge before I ever had a brand deal or PR box, taking my photos simply because she saw potential in me. Dané Taylor extended opportunities my way that played a role in shaping the creative I’ve grown into. My sister would give me her old clothes to create fashion content and always did my lashes to help me feel confident and camera-ready 24/7. And Brian Chang, thank you for being there during the launch of The Saved Haus — from tech support to creative input, your willingness to help never went unnoticed.
Each of these people, in different seasons and ways, reminded me I wasn’t alone and helped me stay committed to the vision. And for that, I’ll always be thankful.
My circle has always been small, but it is mighty. Even if some connections didn’t last forever, the impact each person left on me will never be forgotten. There are so many more people I could mention who played a pivotal role in my life. Every person God placed in my path, whether it was for one conversation, one week, or several years, shaped my choices and helped me become who I am today. I just pray that I have had the same impact in some way for them.
