We had the good fortune of connecting with Mynor Guzman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mynor, what do you attribute your success to?
Our company was founded out of garage in Alhambra, Ca. Our success is directly attributed to our small group of clients we had at the time, the business grew from these satisfied group of artist, gallerists, and collectors. We aimed to provide the best quality of frames at the best prices possible. With less than a handful of people the word spread around town that Carlos was making frames from his home. Fast forward 25 years later, we now have clients at a global scale. We owe our success to that small group of loyal clientele that has stuck with us, and continue to recommend our work to other industry peers.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
At PFAS Inc., we’re more than just a Picture Framing company. We offer a variety of services, we’re custom fabricators that work one on one with Artists in creating custom concepts into life. Artists come to us for custom fabrications, product consultations, and finishing. We offer repairs, white glove handling and installations. We offer short-term storage, crating and transportation.

Our brand is one created by the willingness to try new things, take on the most challenging projects, and meticulously working alongside with the artist and studios. We’re willing to take on long and short term projects, single or multiple units per order.

In order to be around for 25 years, as a business you learn to navigate with the ups and downs. The challenges are never easy to overcome, but we remain highly supported by our staff and loyal patrons.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Museums. LA has the best Museums, The Broad, LACMA, MOCA. We make a point of visiting these museums when guests come to visit.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Our story began with just one client. Debbie Doolittle was the first person to give our founder Carlos Guzman his first framing job. Debbie had known Carlos for over a decade, she approached Carlos with an opportunity to have him produce a large body of work. From that very first order Carlos produced, it led to the opening of our family business. From Debbie a long list of clientele grew, and now PFAS Inc. offers its services to the industry leaders coast to coast and abroad.
