We had the good fortune of connecting with Myriam Lopez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Myriam, why did you pursue a creative career?
I have a passion for acting and expressing myself creatively, and that I enjoy the challenges that come with pursuing a career in the arts. Acting can be a fulfilling and rewarding career for those who are passionate about it, such as myself, as it allows you to connect with audiences and explore different characters and emotions. Overall, pursuing an artistic or creative career requires dedication, hard work, and a willingness to take risks and face challenges. But it is what I love doing.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Acting is a highly competitive field, and it requires a lot of hard work, dedication, and persistence to succeed. It is rarely an easy path to take, and most actors face numerous challenges along the way.

To get to where I am today as an actor, I have had to put in countless hours of training, auditioning, and building relationships within the industry. I have had to overcome self-doubt, rejection, and other setbacks to keep pursuing your dreams. (Still working on this last one).

One lesson I have learned is the importance of perseverance. It’s not enough to be talented or lucky; you must also be willing to keep going even when things get tough.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My husband has been a source of support and encouragement in my life. Having a strong support system can make a big difference in achieving one’s goals and overcoming obstacles. It’s important to acknowledge and appreciate the people who have played a positive role in our lives, so I want to thank my husband’s contribution to my journey.
