We had the good fortune of connecting with Na’ama Kivi Malkah and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Na’ama Kivi, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
I feel being persistent, open to embracing challenges, and organizing.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My professional background is nursing and teaching. I truly enjoyed both professions, both challenging and rewarding. A college student in my early 20’s and married with a family. Challenging was trying to figure out if Dominiq would stay at daycare or come to class with me. Let’s just say Dominiq started college early.

My undergrad and graduate degrees came from the state of Illinois. In a span of two and a half decades professionally, I worked at hospitals, clinics, blood banks, laboratories, and private care. My transition into teaching was quite easy and seamless. Directing daycares, teaching elementary schools, and hospitals in Illinois and at UCLA, Los Angeles, California.

Kivi Services LLC, completely came to me while we were in lockdown in 2019 and 2020. COVID 19 had everyone nervous, scared, and it was downright mentally taxing. I thought what could I do? What can I bring to the community that can put everyone at ease? I thought about my background and my strong framework in bio sciences and decided we need something to combat this deadly virus and that was when Kivi Services LLC, was created. I established a disinfectant and sanitation commercial cleaning company that focused not only on cleaning, but reducing the viral and bacterial loads in high traffic areas. I wanted those coming into high traffic areas feel a sense of safety when it came to their health and environment.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Definitely the kid in me would have my friends at Disneyland and Universal Studios! It’s never a dull moment and plenty to do! All of my friends are into old school music so heading Amoeba record store to pick up a few vinyl records and t shirts is our weakness, but to really get the best albums with a budget conscious mindset is Record Surplus, on Santa Monica Blvd. We love water and sunsets so visiting Santa Monica beach and the pier is a must! Afterwards, eating at Rusty’s and grabbing drinks because the atmosphere is great! We love nature and walking spending half the day catching the stars on Hollywood Blvd and vying for an entry into the Jimmy Kimmel show before my friends leave. It is so much to do, but my favorite is riding down Sunset Boulevard with the top down taking in the vibe and night life.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I lost my dad May 2019 to esophageal cancer. My dad Vester Morgan-Chambers, was my hero and true inspiration to not only be a better person, but to go after my dreams. We planned to open Kivi Services LLC, 2020, in Los Angeles and then add a branch Dubai, UAE. He did not see what I created, but part of me feels that he was there every step of the way.

Also, I would like to include my sons Dominiq and Brandon Foster. They are my favorite imperfect people that kept me on my toes and encouraged me to be the best version of me and challenge myself. I love them, they created the drive and focus that has been instilled in me since their creation.
