Meet Nader Hanna | Mentalist & Hypnotist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Nader Hanna and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nader, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I’m a mind reader and a hypnotist and my special skills could have been something I only did as a party stunt but I decided to take the leap of faith to perform for a living. Following your dream is never easy and you really have to count the cost to make it work.

They say hindsight is 20/20 and I can tell you right now that despite having challenging months when work was slow, I am a much happier person for my choice to do what I love to do for a living.

Stage performers have had it rough for the past few years with the pandemic, during that most challenging time I almost thought about shifting careers once again as all my shows were indefinitely canceled. Luckily I toughed it out and now the road looks a little more bright for stage performers.

Being an artist for a living is never an easy choice, most of us can find more easier ways to make more money. The reason why I chose to perform as a stage mind reader and hypnotist is because I feared the thought of looking back at my life and asking myself what if? If you are gifted with a special skill or ability please don’t let it corrode away, find a way to gift it to the world.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m a professional mind reader and hypnotist. The skills I employ on stage or in a clinical office in my hypnotherapy practice is one that was honed from an early age. These skills can be acquired but natural ability is also a crucial asset to have.

The road to performing mystery on stage came from a simple card trick my father showed me when I was young. That card trick led me down a road that has been a most fruitful one. That road has had it’s ups and downs, but despite challenges and adversary I always found peace in my work.

Always follow your passions and use your talents to help move the world forward. Even as a stage performer you can make an impact in the world or in someone’s life.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Without any hesitation I would take my friends or family to the world famous Magic Castle in Hollywood, CA. The Magic Castle is a private club for magicians and has been in operation as a clubhouse for magic since 1962. It is legendary throughout the world and is the mecca of Magic.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We all stand on the shoulders of those who came before us. The first person to inspire me into the world of magic and the occult sciences was my father. My father was an amateur magician in Egypt, which is where I was born. If it wasn’t for him showing me my first card trick I probably wouldn’t have discovered my passion for the magical arts nor found the beauty in mystery performance.
