We had the good fortune of connecting with Naina Arora and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Naina, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my success as a creator is being vulnerable and authentic. In a world where we spend so much time on social channels, I believe people are craving realness. There’s so much content out there, but a lot of it can leave us feeling disconnected or discouraged. When I started embracing my own challenges and sharing them openly, I realized I was doing something meaningful.

For me, success comes from doing everything with intention. Whether it’s working with a brand or creating my own content, I always ask myself, “How can I add value?” I do my research, understand the brand’s target audience, and think about how I can genuinely connect with them. If something doesn’t align with me, I take a step back and reassess whether I can truly do justice to the product or service.

In the end, being authentic and moving with intention has made all the difference. I focus a lot on health and wellness, especially mental health, because I see how much people are struggling. Sharing my journey and my challenges helps others feel less alone, and that’s where I measure my success—not by numbers, but by the impact I’m able to make.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m incredibly proud of being a South Asian creator and representing my community on camera in the USA. When I first moved here after getting married, I was discouraged by the expectation that Indians should mainly pursue IT or tech careers. Everyone I knew was in those fields, and although I started in healthcare, my creative side kept calling for something more.

It wasn’t easy stepping outside of those expectations. I felt pressured to go into IT for financial security, but when I finally embraced my true passion as a UGC creator, it was like a weight lifted off my shoulders. I may not have earned as much in the beginning as tech professionals, but the peace I felt in doing what I love is what truly set me apart.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that even the jobs I didn’t enjoy initially played a crucial role in my journey. My first job in healthcare taught me how to communicate with people and built my confidence, which is something I appreciate now. The lesson? Trust God’s timing—He knows better than you.

Another important lesson is the power of networking. Every opportunity I’ve had came from putting myself out there, connecting with people, and sharing my story. If you don’t take the first step, you’ll never know what’s possible. Overthinking creates more stress, so just take action and learn along the way.

I overcame these challenges with a lot of trial and error, self-help books, and support from my community. Finding my people made all the difference, and I want others to know they’re not alone in their journey—there’s always a way forward if you stay true to yourself.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting LA for a week, here’s how I’d show them the best time:

Day 1:
Start with breakfast at République, then head to Santa Monica to explore the pier and streets. Drinks and pizza at Elephante, followed by a sunset at Venice Beach.

Day 2:
Spend the day at Universal Studios Hollywood and end the night with tacos from Leo’s Taco Truck or Los Aztecas.

Day 3:
Hike to the Hollywood Sign via Griffith Park, grab lunch at Superba Food + Bread, and catch a sunset rooftop cinema show in the Arts District. End with hotdogs and beer at Wurstküche.

Day 4:
Shopping at The Americana or The Grove, and don’t miss Erewhon for a small meal and shakes.

Day 5:
Enjoy a relaxing day at Malibu with wine at The Barn at Cielo Farms.

Day 6:
Explore Pasadena’s charming streets, visit museums like The Broad and Getty, and snap some photos at LACMA.

Day 7:
Wrap up with some touristy stops at the Hollywood Walk of Fame, a stroll through Beverly Hills, and fried chicken takeout from Howlin’ Ray’s.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have to start by giving a shoutout to my partner. Moving to LA from India 6 years ago was a huge transition for me, and he’s been my biggest support through it all, helping me feel confident every step of the way. He’s not just my partner but also my mentor, always encouraging me.

My mom deserves so much recognition too. She’s my biggest supporter, my best friend, and the person I can always turn to when I feel disconnected. Her honest, genuine feedback allows me to be vulnerable and unfiltered, and her love keeps me grounded. My family as a whole has always nourished me with love and care, and I’m so grateful for that.

I also have to shout out my incredible followers. Their support means the world to me, and seeing them engage with my work motivates me every day. It’s amazing to be part of such a positive and encouraging online community.

BK Shivani has also been a huge influence. Her motivational and spiritual videos on YouTube have helped me stay grounded and centered through tough times.

Lastly, my yoga journey has played a massive role in my growth. Completing my 400-hour yoga training taught me so much about myself and helped me embrace mindfulness and intention, not just in my personal life but in my work as well.
