Meet Natalie Dermenjian | Business Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Natalie Dermenjian and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Natalie, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind the success of my charcuterie cart is the genuine love I have for creating beautiful, memorable experiences. I don’t do this for the money—I do it for the joy on people’s faces when they see the cart, taste the food, and feel the magic of the moment. Every event is a chance to bring people together and celebrate something special, and being part of that means everything to me. It’s not just about cheese and decor—it’s about connection, joy, and making people feel cared for.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business is a curated charcuterie cart that’s all about creating unforgettable moments through food, beauty, and connection. What sets us apart is the heart behind every detail. From the handcrafted boards to the aesthetic of the cart itself, everything is built with love and intention. I want people to feel something when they see and taste what we’ve created—whether it’s excitement, joy, nostalgia, or simply appreciation for the little things done well.
We’re also a proud Armenian-owned business, and that cultural pride shines through in everything we do—from our strong sense of hospitality to the care we put into every setup. It means a lot to represent our heritage while creating something fresh and modern that brings people together.
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that people don’t just buy a product—they buy a feeling. When you genuinely love what you do and show up with care, people respond to that energy. I want the world to know that this business is more than cheese and snacks. It’s about celebrating life, bringing people together, and making the ordinary feel special.
This cart is my way of sharing joy—and I’m just getting started
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were visiting for the week, I’d plan a thoughtful mix of local favorites that highlight the best of the area. We’d start the mornings at the farmers market to pick up fresh ingredients, then head home to make a simple, seasonal breakfast together.
One of our must-do dinner spots would be Shu Sushi House Unico in Beverly Glen—sushi is a favorite for both of us, and that restaurant offers not only incredible food but a calm, elevated atmosphere perfect for unwinding and catching up.
We’d spend an afternoon shopping in West Hollywood, exploring local boutiques and enjoying the creative energy of the neighborhood. Between outings, we’d make time to relax, recharge, and enjoy each other’s company.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are a few very special people I want to dedicate this shoutout to. First and foremost, my parents—for always supporting me in my different passions and never making me feel like I had to choose just one path. This journey is especially inspired by my mom—her favorite food has always been cheese, and I grew up watching how something as simple as a shared plate could bring people together. That’s what made me want to share that joy with the rest of the world through my charcuterie cart.
I also have to give a huge shoutout to my boyfriend, Aram Mnatsakanyan. He’s been by my side through almost every event, helping me carry, set up, clean up—everything. He’s not just there for the logistics, though. He’s been my emotional support, my motivator, and my constant reminder that I’m capable of more than I think. Having someone who believes in your dream as much as you do makes all the difference, and I’m beyond grateful for that.
