We had the good fortune of connecting with Nicky Allado and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nicky, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
As a singer songwriter and music producer, the most important factor behind my success is the ability to consistently create and deliver high-quality music that resonates with my audience. This involves a combination of factors, including honing my craft, staying up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and constantly experimenting with new sounds and techniques to keep my music fresh and exciting.
In addition to creating great music, building a strong brand is also critical for success in the music industry. This involves cultivating a strong online presence, developing a unique visual identity, and establishing a reputation as a reliable and professional artist. It also involves engaging with fans and building a loyal following through regular communication and interaction.
Ultimately, success in the music industry is a combination of many factors, including talent, hard work, perseverance, and a bit of luck. However, by focusing on creating great music, building a strong brand, and constantly striving to improve and innovate, any singer songwriter and music producer can increase their chances of success in this highly competitive field.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
As a singer and songwriter, my art is all about telling stories through music. I specialize in creating heartfelt, emotional songs that resonate with listeners and connect with their experiences and emotions. What sets me apart from others is my unique perspective and voice, which I bring to each and every song that I write and perform.
What I am most proud of in my art is my ability to touch people’s lives through music. There is nothing more fulfilling than knowing that my songs have made a positive impact on someone’s day, or helped them through a difficult time in their life. I am also excited about the future of my art and the opportunity to continue growing and evolving as an artist.
Getting to where I am today professionally has been a challenging journey, but one that I wouldn’t trade for anything. I started singing at a very young age of 6, singing top 40 music. I naturally gravitated to Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston’s powerful resonance, and I copied their technique day in, day out. So when I got invited to audition for an opera workshop by my voice coach, I went for it, knowing that world was foreign to me – but that’s what started my deep connection with my voice.
What most people dont know is that the classical world is very cut throat. People from outside the opera company (my friends and family) thought I just “talent”, but to be honest, I had to work twice as hard to identify myself as an opera artist. This was one of my most challenging times in my career.
What I want the world to know about my brand and story is that my music is about more than just entertainment – it’s about connecting with people on a deeper level and making a positive impact in their lives. I want to inspire others with my art, my voice and music, and show them that anything is possible if you believe in yourself and are willing to work hard to make your dreams a reality.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
There are many spots in Los Angeles that I love – but I have a special love for San Gabriel Valley – 626! You can literally find the best asian restaurants in the 626 – that’s what we’ll do. we’ll go for a nice food run all over the city! Some of my favorites are – Garden Cafe in Arcadia, Hong Kong Cafe in Monterey Park, and Hai Di Lao at the Arcadia Mall!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to give a shoutout my Father’s Studio community! I love you guys, you make my work so enjoyable and I really wouldn’t be doing what I do without you all.
