Meet Niki Ghazian | Attorney

We had the good fortune of connecting with Niki Ghazian and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Niki, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Even at the very start of my career, I knew I wanted to be my own boss. Life and work balance was the key component to my decision to leave a firm I was at and start my own practice. I was working fourteen hours a day, and not reaping the benefits. I knew I wanted to be my own boss, and work smarter rather than harder. I started Ghazian Law Group in 2016, and I became a mother in 2019. I am able to spend the mornings with my son when I am not in court, and I go to the office at lunch. I would never be able to have that luxury, and traveling when I like, if I was employed by someone other than my own firm. Now I work less, make more, and have executive control over the clients I take. It isn’t easy being an entrepreneur, but when executed correctly, it is well worth it!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Ghazian Law Group is a boutique law firm specializing in civil litigation, primarily personal injury and business litigation. We handle catastrophic injury, wrongful death, and car accidents. Our business practice consists of contracts and partnership disputes. What sets us apart from other firms is our ability to cater to our clients in an approachable way, through clear channels of communication. I often hear from my clients that they had bad experiences with previous attorneys who never responded to them, or communicated with them. I find that appalling, because I think clear communication is not only crucial to the attorney / client relationship, but attorneys have a legal obligation to make themselves reasonably available to their clients.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Being a Los Angeles native, I feel that I am the best person to answer this. I would definitely start with lunch in Beverly Hills at the Waldorf Rooftop, and maybe a sunset dinner at Nobu Malibu. I would take them out for a wild night in West Hollywood afterward. As far as activities, I think a surfing lesson, and a great hike are both in order when visiting Los Angeles.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Law Offices of Patrick Thomas Santos. Patrick is my husband and my partner in many of my cases that we litigate together. He has a successful practice that includes appellate law, criminal law, and general civil litigation.
