Hi Nikki, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind the success of Shush Lingerie is our unwavering commitment to providing personalized bra fittings and offering a curated selection of full-figure bras that prioritize optimal support and style. Our dedication to addressing the unique needs of women in our community with fuller breasts, combined with a focus on promoting self-love and confidence, has set Shush Lingerie apart in the lingerie industry.

What sets Shush Lingerie apart is our unwavering commitment to providing personalized and empowering lingerie experiences for women with fuller busts. We take pride in offering a curated selection of full-figure bras, coupled with personalized fittings that address individual needs and preferences.

My journey to where I am today professionally has been anything but easy. I faced numerous challenges along the way, from sourcing the right inventory to establishing a brand presence in a competitive market. However, through perseverance, dedication, and a passion for empowering women.

One of the key lessons I’ve learned is the importance of adaptability and resilience in the face of adversity. By embracing change and learning from setbacks, I’ve been able to evolve and grow both personally and professionally.

Ultimately, I want the world to know that Shush Lingerie is more than just a brand – it’s a movement towards self-love, confidence, and empowerment. Our mission is to redefine the lingerie experience for women of all shapes and sizes, and I’m incredibly proud of the impact we’ve had in fostering body positivity and self-acceptance.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend were visiting Los Angeles, I would ensure they experience the city’s diverse culture and vibrant lingerie and bra scene. We would start our week with a visit to Shush Lingerie, known for its personalized bra fittings and curated selection of full-figure bras. After finding the perfect fit, we’d explore the iconic neighborhoods of Ladera Heights and Baldwin Hills, known for their rich history and cultural significance. We’d grab a cup of coffee at Hilltop. Afterwords enjoy a scenic hike at Kennth Hahn Park.

During the day, we’d soak up the California sun and visit the California African American Museum and explore the thought-provoking exhibits.

In the evenings, we’d experience the vibrant nightlife of Downtown Los Angeles, stopping by The Edison for craft cocktails and live music, followed by dinner at Post & Beam, a renowned black-owned restaurant serving modern American cuisine with a Southern twist.

Throughout the week, we’d indulge in the city’s culinary delights, including dinner at Rosalind’s Ethiopian Restaurant for flavorful dishes and drinks at The Bungalow Santa Monica for beachside cocktails. For a taste of LA’s nightlife, we’d dance the night away at Barlis

Our itinerary would be a perfect blend of lingerie shopping, culinary adventures, cultural experiences, and outdoor exploration, ensuring an unforgettable trip to Los Angeles.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’m incredibly grateful for the unwavering support and inspiration I receive from my family, especially my sister (best friend). Her entrepreneurial journey has taught me invaluable lessons and provided me with the knowledge and encouragement I need to navigate the challenges of running Shush Lingerie. Additionally, my social and networking groups have been instrumental in my success, providing me with a platform to connect with like-minded individuals and learn from their experiences.

I’d also like to dedicate a shoutout to “Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself” by Joe Dispenza, a book that has profoundly impacted my mindset and approach to both personal and professional growth. Its insights have guided me through moments of doubt and uncertainty, empowering me to embrace change and pursue my dreams with confidence.

Lastly, I want to recognize all the amazing women entrepreneurs and mentors who have crossed my path, offering their guidance, wisdom, and encouragement along the way. Their support has been instrumental in shaping my journey, and I’m truly grateful for their contributions to my success.
