We had the good fortune of connecting with Noa Wolff and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Noa, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
This is a hard one, especially in the entertainment field. There are a lot of people that give up and find a more ‘secure’ job, which I don’t blame them for. It’s totally understandable, since it’s hard to make it as an artist. For me, the way I know whether to keep going or give up, is to think about what ultimately makes me happy. I’ve always been so passionate about acting and singing, but that doesn’t mean it’s always going to be easy, which is a big misconception. There is a fine line between wanting to give up because you genuinely don’t like what you’re doing, or wanting to give up because you’ve been working hard and am tired. I’ve realized that I will have moments where I just want to rest and I won’t fully enjoy my job as much as other times, but that doesn’t mean I’m unhappy and want to give up.

So I think people need to look deep inside and figure out what it is that they want. That way, even when you’re working hard and want to give up, you’ll know to keep going because it’s what makes you happy.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I started in theatre as a little kid with a big personality. Yet for some reason, I was always so attracted to film acting. So at 19, I decided to start my film acting career in LA. Alongside the acting, I could never give up my singing career. I’ve been singing and making songs for as long as I can remember, and I can proudly say that I recently released my first single, “Let Me Go” by me, Noa Wolff, and T.M.I..

The process of fully starting my career was not easy at all, which I think is a good thing, All good things require a lot of work, and if you’re willing to put that hard work in, it’ll pay off. One of the biggest strengths you can have is patience, which I still have to work on a little sometimes. But you can overcome any challenge with hard work and patience. During my first year in LA, I was barely ever on set, which upset me. Then, at a certain point, I got many shoots and was on set very often. I realized that I made so many connections in that first year through hard work which led me to this point. However, I am still only at the beginning of my career, which is so exciting because there is so much more to come.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There are so many lovely places in Los Angeles I’d want to show! First things first, the beach. I would go to Venice, because even though it’s very touristic, it’s such a classic. For someone who’s never seen it, it’s like walking into a movie! I would get brunch at the “Great White”, one of my favorite spots. From there, we’ll walk to Santa Monica, go to the pier and Third Street and just walk around. I would definitely take them to Malibu one of the days too, preferably El Matador Beach! And the final beach day would be at Dockweiler beach, having a bonfire at night.

For another day, I’ll go into the city. I would take them to a museum, probably the Academy Museum or LACMA. From there it’s a short walk to the Grove, where we can have lunch at the little food court that has many delicious food options!

Of course I have to dedicate a day to a park; either Universal Studios, Disneyland or Six Flags. I would leave that up to them, because in my opinion all those are amazing options. I’d also like to take them to the Warner Bros studio tour, which I haven’t been to myself yet but I desperately want to!

There are so many more things to do and places to go to, so I’ll just list a few more here: Hollywood sign hike, The Getty, Griffith Observatory, UCLA Campus, Beverly Hills, rooftop cinema, etc.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My parents and my brother are my biggest support and they deserve the biggest shoutout! None of them are in the entertainment field, so I took a different path than any of them, but they love me for it and are so happy for me that I’ve found what makes me happy. Growing up, they always came to all my shows and performances and looked at me so proudly. They share my work with anyone who will listen, which I appreciate more than they probably know. My dad is a doctor, so naturally you would assume that he’d want his kids to do the same. But it’s the complete opposite: he’s always preached that the only reason that he’s a doctor is because he loves it. So he and my mom made sure that me and my brother would do what we love, no matter what it is.
I couldn’t have moved to LA to pursue this career without their support, and I will forever appreciate that.
