We had the good fortune of connecting with Noah Andrade and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Noah, let’s start by talking about what inspires you?
I’m inspired by the ideology of enjoying life. Having fun with what I do in life. It’s one of the main reasons I chose acting as a career. I viewed regular occupations, like my job as a restaurant server, as just something to get by and help pay rent. It wasn’t dream job, it’s just necessary. But a career is something you WANT to do. Something you feel you’re meant to do in life.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
At the moment I am in my last quarter of college to receive my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Cinema and Acting. For almost four years straight I have been trained and educated in the film making industry. Being able to join a multitude of student projects for both classes, thesis films, and personal projects. Having fun with just about every cast and crew I had the pleasure to meet. It hasn’t exactly been difficult, but also hasn’t been easy either. Getting up in the morning before the Sun itself and staying until the Moon came out. Having gore makeup be applied for an extended amount of time to then have it ripped off as though I was tearing off my own flesh. The ability to overcome anything like that as a challenge comes with the reminders that I get to make new friends, all of this will look cool later, and I’m also being fed. And the lessons this taught me was just patience and focus helps keep the mind at ease. For the World, all I want for you to know is that I’m trying to have fun with my life. I want to enjoy living. And how I wish to do so is by acting and performing. Whether it be via comedy, horror, romance, thriller, or drama; I will live my life having fun as an Actor.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
First place I’m taking my best friend is on a hike to Victory Trail. There’s a cave we can climb around and get to the top of a hill that overlooks the whole neighborhood. There’s also Santa Monica Boardwalk to chill around. Food wise, we’re hitting up a Dog Haus for some burgers or hot dogs or maybe a Mel’s Diner. But for drinks, I random bar crawl just about anywhere sounds about right for the two of us.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
When it comes to groups of people in my life that I’d love to thank for where I am, obviously I’m going to mention my family for supporting me moving away to pursue my education and career in acting. As well as the friends I’ve made here in Los Angeles that have helped me call this place home. They have been my rock. When it comes to individual people, I’d like to specifically mention performers I grew up watching in media: Jim Carrey, Mark Hamill, Tara Strong, Grey Griffin, Robert Downey Jr, and Chris Rock. Whether it was with Comedy or Drama, their voices and actions sparked an inspiration for me pursue something similar.
