We had the good fortune of connecting with Nubian Princess and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nubian Princess, do you disagree with some advice that is more or less universally accepted?
To stay focused in one lane and pick one thing. I feel like if you have multiple talents that you want to pursue then do that. Don’t keep yourself locked in one box just because most people say focus on one thing.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I honestly just put myself out there and opportunities started to flow to me. I set goals for myself and really just trusted my gut. It was easy, I can’t lie and say that I’ve had struggles in this industry because I truly haven’t. Every opportunity, I’ve prayed for and God has blessed me by making my dreams come true. Now, is it a lot of work? 100%, but I love it so I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’ve learned to just remain patient, when moving with good intentions, everything that is supposed to happen for you will. I want people to know that I’m always a student first. I’ve work with so many different people who have been in this industry longer than I have that I choose to learn from. No matter how big I become, I’m always interested in learning more about my craft and exploring a talent that I haven’t fully tapped into yet. I’m forever growing and evolving.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
As much as I enjoy going out and having fun I’m really a homebody. I mainly only go out for work, certain events and concerts so 50% of my time is at home. If I were to plan a week I’d probably hit up a few museums because I love art and LA has really cool museums. I love going hiking, it’s really therapeutic for me so I’d include that on our list. We could try a new vegan restaurant or go to one of my favorites and maybe catch a movie and or a concert depending on who’s playing in town. That sounds like a nice, chill fun week to me.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My mom. She’s been the biggest supporter of me since I was younger. I do all I can now because she motivated me to do everything that I wanted to do whether it was with theatre or fashion.
