We had the good fortune of connecting with OPHELIA MGMT and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi OPHELIA, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
Karina: The time and effort that goes into modeling. It takes a lot of patience, trial and error. Eden: A lot of people don’t realize the investment most models have to put into their career, especially during the development phase. If you want to work with a good photographer in a studio with a whole creative team, you can’t expect to do that for free.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Karina: Ophelia Model Management is a mother agency that manages talent on a worldwide scale. We pride ourselves on having a diverse board and being an agency that promotes positive change in the industry. Luke: We all started as teenagers working with talent managers in different capacities and now we are the talent managers who own our own agency.
Eden: Also, Ophelia literally exists because of TikTok. Which is crazy.
Karina: Eden found me on TikTok talking about my experience working in the modeling industry and Eden knew Luke because they’re from the same small town.
Luke: I owned my own mother agency before we merged and Ophelia became the three of us.
Eden: We actually work virtually and we’re all in different states. I’m in New York City, Luke is in Huntsville, Alabama, and Karina is in Orlando, Florida. Our agency was a COVID baby so it’s always been easy working virtually, but we do see each other multiple times a year.
Luke: We see each other every fashion week and when we travel for modeling conventions.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Here’s our LA go-to itinerary for every time we’re in town: Coffee: The Beechwood Cafe, simply because Harry Styles
Food: Pink Taco. Eden likes the street corn. Grand Central Market is also a must-do when in DTLA!
Night Time: Karaoke Bleu in Astoria. Luke and Karina end up dragging Eden along.
Shopping: Karina and Eden make it a point to go to Vivienne Westwood on Melrose. Luke always hits Rodeo Drive.
Interesting places: Eden convinced Karina to go to the Funko store (it’s a museum) and it was actually so so fun.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We work with so many amazing artists and industry professionals, but we only work with one runway coach. Mandy Lieveld is incredible. She is the one we will always trust to teach our models to better their walks.
