Meet Oscar Bracho | Photographer & Videographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Oscar Bracho and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Oscar, what’s your definition for success?
When it comes to success, everybody has their own definition. I realize more than ever before that I have a calling in this life, and as to how much I’m able to tap into my potential is what I define as my success. I see many people having so much potential in this world, however, due to external factors that they may or may not have control over, many people don’t end up becoming who they are truly suppose to blossom into. For me, I would never want anything to stop me from what I am suppose to do. As long as I’m taking one step forward towards the right direction every single day, I know that I will be miles ahead from where I was once before. That’s how I determine my success.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Bracho Media is a platform that I use to showcase my photography and videography. After years of networking and working within this industry, I have created a business that captures a wide variety of editorial magazine work, live events, and celebrity clientele. What would set my business apart from others is that I like to focus on the client, embracing their personality and talent to the fullest degree. As my photography and videography business expands and grows, I plan to transition to creating content with the celebrities and talents that I have built a connection with. Therefore, I can be able to help those creatives who are also trying to achieve the next level.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take them to Long Beach. Seeing that it is the city that I was born and raised in, I would definitely have to take to them to the best restaurant that I know in the west side, which is Casa Perez. Other than that, I don’t think the city of Long Beach is a place that is safe enough for me to plan a trip in. It’s really a city that you should only visit if you actually have reason to visit it.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would definitely shoutout my family for instilling the greatness that I carry within myself. My family were the people that taught me that no matter what cards I’m dealt with in this lifetime, that I have the power to overcome anything and prosper. Whether it is my father migrating into this country for a better future, or my brother Jose Bracho building an empire with his tattoo business (Castillo Tattoos), I knew that I have no reason why not to follow suit and build my own platform with Bracho Media. They taught me how to live by a “No Excuses” mentality, that no matter what, I have no reason to fail in life. If my father was able to work 20 hours a day for 20 years straight to support my family, I can easily resonate the same tenacity and produce the same amount of work as well.
